Actually a real magician would not push the button hold it for a second they would push it and release it at the same time hence The flash will hide it zipping out of your hand😂

This brings back lovely memories of going to see Paul at the Grand theatre in Leeds with my dad, and then meeting the man himself afterwards but being too shy to say much to him!

It's amazing, his technique was clearly flawless. I grew up watching him. But through a modern lens, there's clearly something missing. That spark of likability that we demand these days wasn't so crucial back then. And that's the only thing he lacked; hindsight can be so very cruel. Clearly a master of everything demanded of him.

Guy in the audience seems an obvious plant. Far too smooth and "actory". Weird as the excellent routine didnt need a plant. It was a strange distraction.

I'll never be able to work out why so many people used to he was rubbish. I have always thought he was one of the best magicians ever. Far more watchable than the American Davids.

I’m wondering if the special dice if it works with a chop cup. It’s hard to find a powerful neodymium dice. Not sure how strong the one that comes with this set

just tried it in a chop cup and its too strong, it sticks but wont unstick when the cup is forced down hard.

follow up - dice is not magnetically manufactured, its the old drill hole and tape over DIY unfortunately. magnetic dices remains rare

Paul had a youtube channel before he passed away. His number one piece of advice was never flog a principle. If you you use one method in a routine only use it once.

Think of that solid object like a sliding door. That metal was spread opened when inside. When he wanted to take it out, he just pressed both sides of the box, applying some pressure to close the metal. Tadaa... it's a "solid" metal inside. Focus on the center of the metal 1:08 , you can see a very slight line lol
