I personally love the The Awakened Remake, I don't know why some fans doesn't like the new Sherlock Holmes look imo he's good looking but that's not the only charming thing about him. There are other factors to why I like him you can see he's vulnerable and suffering, for anyone who doesn't understand his character in (TA), please play (Chapter One) to understand what led him to become what he is in the (TA), spoilers ahead trauma is the key factor in this game. Also massive applaud to Alex Jordan for voice acting Sherlock. Side note: this is coming from a long time fan.

Totally agree with all what you said, as for the puzzles I hate most of them. What bothers me is that they are mostly riddles, and I haaaaattee riddles, that's why it's taken me over one year and a half to finish it😅 (In this Year I played the awakened and the remastered Awakened too😅) I played Nemesis along time ago and this is my second play through, I'm trying to replay all Sherlock Holmes games. Unlike the other games in this series, I believe playing Nemesis without a walkthrough is almost impossible, that is also why I hate it. It makes me feel dumb😂. Thank you for the video, you did a great job 👍🏼 and good luck to you, your channel looks promising 😊 hope it'll grow fast.

Thanks! I explain more about my opinions on the puzzles in the video after this one, but a few of them definitely needed a guide for me to get through. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and good luck on your playthroughs of the games!

Great video. I wish Frogwares continued developing on this style of Sherlock Holmes instead of the one used in the previous two games. As you said, this is indeed peak Sherlock Holmes, it takes every good aspect of the previous games, improves it and adds more depth to it.

The only plus for me is that the character of Barnes is preserved, it is even clear that the new actor who voiced him is familiar with the material

Thanks for pointing that out. I never really took note of Barnes' character between the two games. Thinking back on it, I do agree that Barnes is, for the most part, the same character in both games. One glaring difference is that Barnes is somewhat more socially awkward in the remake, which is apparent at the beginning of the game. In the original, he's more open and succinct. At least, this is when he's talking with Holmes or Watson.

Interesting perspective, I personally don't thing that the story is that deep but maybe I have to read some Lovecraft first. Great video.

Very good video, it is the most elaborate review of this game so far. I personally prefer the original game overall, I don't really like the style of this new Sherlock. One thing that bothered me of this game is that Sherlock doesn't really resolve what happened to Stenwick's servant, I thought they were going to solve it in the remake but they didn't. Anyway, congratulations for the video, very good job.

Thanks! The remake does briefly acknowledge Stenwick's servant when in the institute. It is during the investigation to reveal Hell's Door. My belief is that the servant either became a Cthulu sacrifice or, more likely, died when experimented on by Gygax. Since his body was never found, that's probably what Holmes and Watson figured and told Stenwick.
