Nice video, would have been better without the background music! Hope the rest of your aircraft ownership goes better for you. The Cessna 150 is a great aircraft.

If it floats, flies or fucks, it’s cheaper to rent it. Unless you fly 200 hours a year, owning any aircraft is nuts.
@tonywebb9909Ай бұрын
Not terrible costs, as all these things needed doing. A lack of communication for sure. It is tough to be a good and conscientious mechanic. I don't regret anything that have had to spend on my C150, but it is always difficult to come up with the money. Just had to but a new cylinder for €1400 and Nav/Com for 6k.

I would only go with a repair shop that someone you trust could vouch for - and one better would be a person who has had his airplane worked on at and thought he was treated right!

Fake bird that's the nature predator. Fake human. Or a tarp. Also have speaker box that barks when laser light beam is broken

Put stickers of large predator eyes, or a realistic toy snake, get a cat, or an Owl decoy, or build some bird houses, they’re easy if you buy Gourds just wait until dry cut a bird sized hole, put some linseed oil and some shavings under an outdoor shelf or building eaves, ( most hangars don’t have eaves but a shop might ) the birbs will select the safest and most Ideal location available, for birbs that will not set up unless they build the nest themselves, get horsehair and thatch grass, pile it up, tie a string to a stick, prop up a wooden box, when the birbs kand under it, “Doink” if there are too many feathered air mice, you can buy a Crossman 760 pumpmaster, BBs a bird feeder, a 12 pack of Yuengling and a bag of birdseed, and enjoy your “Redneck Entertainment Center”

Set a fake hawk on a stick stand beside the plane and when you’re ready to fly fold it up and place it in cab.

I actually thought about doing something like that. I used to have a fake owl that served that purpose. BTW, the birds seem to be staying away with the mothballs.

Hi, I didn't see one on yours. I've seen videos where they have a round mirror mounted up front. So they can view the parachute at all times, to see if any problems might occur. Ive seen the crash videos too. Doesn't exactly make you feel secure in the safety of a PPC.
@LeadingEdgeLife3 жыл бұрын
Hey, both my instructors said not to use a mirror, because it can disorient you to what's really happening with the lines and chute. They told me to visually inspect, which is what I have been doing since my training.

Good video. I've had a PPC for about a year & a half now. My wing was in a bag on the side while taxing & I had a prop strike destroying both. So that threw off my numbers for the first year. 65 hours later I like it a lot but the wing layout & setup is the hard part I guess. July in NC? So I decided to purchase a two-seater airplane. A Zodiac 601 SLSA. $42,000 but pulling it out of the hangar, kick the tires & fly is a lot nicer. Still have the PPC. Just flying the 601 for now. Expect I'll keep both, however. God bless now.
@LeadingEdgeLife3 жыл бұрын
Yes, my bag hangs on the side of the PPC as well, and I can see where it could easily swing into the prop. Sorry that happened to you. Sounds like you're living the dream with the airplane! I could buy one right now if my family wasn't in transition.

Brother I like you’re channel. I’ve set a goal to drop a few pounds (more than a few), and maybe buy a PPC. I got a private rating years ago, but haven’t been in the cockpit in a long time. A PPC seems like a good way to get back in the air. Keep up the videos!
@LeadingEdgeLife3 жыл бұрын
Hey. A PPC is a good option. I haven't flown a plane in over four months. I'm having issues with the place I rent from. But the PPC is helping me satisfy the flying bug, plus it's dirt cheap flying. I'm only paying for fuel/oil right now, so it's about $12-$15 per hour. I think you'll really like it. It'll probably suit your personality too, since you're into the outdoors and camping. I love the outdoors, and I've been wanting to get into RV camping. You're channel is great!
