Loved this song inb 1960s-1970s..... MALIBU BEACH . Surfing and MUSIC. Bon Fires on the beach. Jug of wine. Home grown weed. Girlfriends and skinny dipping!!! LIFE HAPPENED. SAMOHI grad, ALUM Robert redford. Robert Downey Jr. Charlie Sheen. Sean Penn. james Howard Hall IMDB - Drama classes at SAMOHI were great! Many made it BIG TIME and others like ME did minor roles later in life in our 50s AFTER traveling the world selling Best Foods Corp. Knorr swiss, John Deere products, 9 countries. Mark Lindsay is not an unknown. He was lead singer of Paul Revere and the Raiders group in the late 1960’s. They put out some goood aongs back then. I agree with others here than Mark Lindsays’s version is the best of the three. Neil Diamond second.

This song can never be HQ unless some dynamic range gets restored after it had the shit compressed out of it during the recording process. A shame as this is such a good tune... but because some asshole was put in charge of the studio engineering it turned out this compressed, over modulated mess.
