According to the charts and drone maps, it should be legal. I did have to keep an eye out for news helicopters flying well below 400 feet. The park ranger was okay with me using one of the paths for taking off so I could maintain a visual line of site. I am curious about your concerns?
@johnwigren442913 күн бұрын
I was curious because there's so many rules about flying a drone.
@TitusDavis13 күн бұрын
There sure are a bunch of rules to follow to be legal. Thanks for asking about this area.

As we all too often see down here in California state, it appears that drought &/or fire affected a massive portion of the forest seen on the left side of the screen as the drone passed by & over the lakes. Sad, but Nature has It’s reasons & always prevails… eventually. Very nice video set to some beautiful music.. thanks! 👍😀

Thanks. Nature eventually responds to changes, and sometimes it is not what we were expecting.

I was told the river flowed under this trestle for just one day. It rained the next day and the river was once again running over the trestle. I don't think the river has run under this trestle since the dame was built. I was very fortunate to be able to video this event.

Thanks so much for this video! It brings me fond memories of growing up. Our family spent one week each summer from the mid 1960's through the early 70's...beginning with Salt Creek Lodge and finishing the annual summer vacation @ Bridge Bay. We had a fantastic Evinrude 16 ft tri-hull, fitted with a POS two-cycle 90 hp stern drive configuration. My dad was a crew chief (mechanic) on a B25 during WWII, and kept this engine going, always hoping that an engine would be developed to replace what we had, however it never happened. I spent may hours skiing behind that boat, which reached 32 mph on a good day. Thanks again for your wonderful video, showing the beauty of Shasta Lake at full capacity.
@TitusDavis Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the nice comment. I like the story of you dad keeping the boat going. My brother had an old Mercury inline 6 cylinder two stroke outboard. It was an effort to get it going, but once warmed up it would be great the rest of the day.
