Great video. I've been to cosmetology school twice and graduated, years apart, never did anything with my education but do my family, friends and my own hair. 😂. But I am very good at coloring and wrapping perms. The only thing is it's so hard to get help doing my own, so I do the best I can and I am fixing to be perming my hair next week my hair is long like yours so I found your video very helpful in the size rods I want to use. I was going to use jumbo, but decided to go with smaller rods now because I love your curl pattern. Great video, your hair turned out fabulous. ❤😊

NEVER NEVER remove the rods before rinsing the neutralizer. Also don’t add more neutralizer when you no longer have the perms rods in your hair. That’s why her roots are still straight. Also I’m not sure why the hell she’d use two types of perms? endothermic perms require you to add heat so they can take while exothermic perms work better and require no heat.

As a licensed beautician, just so you're not so hard on yourself, You are supposed to brush your hair dry and not wet so you've been doing everything correct. Good Job!

I used this video as my main how-to and wow! Much better results than the 2 American Waves I got in salons. I have hair like yours but each hair is fine. I did my research and decided an acid perm would be better for me. I couldn't make sense of all the brands so I went with One n Only's acid perm. It wasn't an easy or quick process but I couldn't be happier with my results! Thank you so much! 😀

What do you use after the shower ?

I used to do a lot of perms. The most rods I used in someone's hair was 167. I didn't think I would ever get finished with that one. Your hair looks good

I finally have long enough hair that I'm wanting to perm it, and it's all virgin hair now after years of pixie and bleaching (almost as long as yours here). I just bought everything today and I'm hoping I can do it here in a couple hours. Your hair is gorgeous btw. Also, are you an Oregonian? (Shirt). If so, me too 😂

I did a perm in my hair in the 80's and I can't even remember how I did it LOL. I'm now in my 60's and I'm thinking of doing another one but I'm also kind of scare as my hair is so much more unhealthy . But as I'm older I hate having to blow dry and straighten my hair all the time it gets tiresome for and old lady like me. My hair is shoulder length so about how many rods do you think I would need ?

I've been doing hair for 28 yrs. The colors do matter, because the color determines the size of the curl you will have. Also the direction you roll them matters. Pink or peach is usually the largest and white is the smallest. You have done a great job. My hair has gotten very thin, but I want to do an S perm. Have you ever done an S perm with the bendy rods? 🤗

Is it should wet all the time to look like that ? How is it look like when the hair dry ?

I decided to perm my own hair after 10 years of getting it done professionally. My husband helped me. He had no idea what he was doing and he was trying to follow my instructions...We had so much fun during the process because we were constantly laughing and hoping for the best 🤣It turned out great. I am so proud of him and so happy with my curls!

That's it, I'm reperming ASAP! Silly me rinsed after taking curls out baaad idea. Sponge head. So redoing as I love curls ESP yours!
