I basically had a business relationship with the tonberries in XI selling their premium cutlery. A certain one drops a knife that gives Thieves a rare-drop % boost, but he has to be spawned with a rare lamp dropped by his lesser brethren. I went through a farm/sell/spawn loop to keep the knife on me. The previous knife always sold before the next one I brought back. All they asked for in return was a periodic gold beastcoin to keep their rancor low.

that is incredible. not only did they implement the icicle inn punch scene into combat with her but to have her able to fall off the cliff, run all the way back, and even give her a tired emote afterwards… this game is amazing. also bonus points for making her snore when you cast sleep on her and for having a bedazzled gun. game of the century

Big fan of the new sprites, some of them read a lot better now, ie Gestahl and Locke. Kazuko Shibuya designed the original sprites, which Yoshitaka Amano then based his character artwork on (most people assume it was the other way around)-- it's so interesting to see the new Shibuya sprites incorporating elements from the Amano artwork, kind of a cool artistic back-and-forth playing out over a few decades.

I don't remember where I read this, but I read years ago that a lot of the "cut" content. Was simply space limitations on the old SNES cartridges and that Chrono Trigger and FF6 were two of the games that used the most of the cartridge memory at the time. It's why there are so many glitches to do with item overflow as well when using sketch on invisible enemies. They basically pushed the system hardware to it's limits and cut stuff as needed.
