Great rip overall. Premier is a good value compared to cup or ultimate which can both be spotty box to box I feel like. Premier has it's weak spots but hey what product doesn't. Hope it goes down in price with 22-23. Would love to get a Guenther

So this means all the cards Canadians have with Goldin will now be sent to Ebay vault. Where they don't allow Canadians to buy or sell cards from. Horrible for hockey,

The chipping is very annoying on the young guns. I don’t even get excited anymore if i pull a YG until i check that corner first

Thanks for listening! And yes - I remember getting Zegras and Caufield YGs in the same box one year - and both had chipping. Upper Deck replaced the cards. I wonder why no one is getting their defective Connor Bedard YGs replaced by Upper Deck. It would totally be worth the trouble for such a sought-after card.

@@PuckJunk NP! I listen to every episode. It happened to me with the bedard YG but i instantly got a good price on it so i just got rid of it quickly. The pop count was so high so quick, that i just bailed. 🤞🏻 hope that was the right move lol

Just a thought, if a case of this went for 2500$ and the average case has 1 bedard in it why on earth would you sell it for 1200$? All your left with a Leo Carlson YG and a whole bunch of recycling material and on top of it more than 50% loss. And that’s when the boxes were cheap they are now 350$ plus per box

My top 5 90s sets, aesthetically are: 5) 91-92 Score 4) 94-95 Premier 3) 92-93 Upper Deck 2) 93-94 Parkhurst 1) 90-91 Pro Set (HM: 1995-96 Upper Deck Collector's Set) Interestingly, two of my least liked sets from that decade are the 91-92 Pro Set (so iconic, yet so damn boring) and the 92-93 Score set. I remember being 8 or 9 and I got my parents to purchase a collector's set through the scholastic magazine, and they came with 90-91 Pro Set cards of, like, 50 cards. And I got them during morning class one day and took them out and promptly lost them at recess, lol. For most of my childhood I had 5 cards from that set, until a friend in high school sold me his entire collection for $10 which included half the set, plus a full set of 92-93 Parkhurst and 95-96 Premier - that was a fleecing, lol. That said, I collected (and still collect) for having as many individual cards as I can, instead of as an investment or searching for that high value card. That's why I liked 91-92 Pro Set and Score, where they had literally 600 cards in the two sets which basically contained pretty much every player that played that year between them, and why i prefer the modern O-Pee-Chee-branded sets over the Upper Deck sets today. I do miss the 90s where collecting cards was extremely easy. It seems like you have to go out of your way to do it today comparatively.

Those are all great sets! I feel like 1991-92 Score - especially Canadian Series 2 with the sky blue borders - is one of the nicest-looking hockey sets from the early 1990s. And thank you for listening to our show.

Why not number the base cards? I know it sound crazy, but certain numbers can be worth something. It gives more an incentive to hunt for certain base cards

@@PuckJunk I would say Series One and Two every year. HRO card company, DC comics line, does a Hybrid System (includes actual cards and NFT) All the base cards are numbered. I actually look forward trying to get the very low or high numbered base card. Most base cards will hold the same value but certain ones depending on the number will have more value.

Any numbered auto or rare insert from the junk wax era (early & mid 90's), even the donruss elite numbered to 10k you got better odds of getting hit by lightning 3x over then pulling one! When Upper Deck started it all off with the Reggie Jackson auto numbered to 2500 in it's 1990 high number series. The owner of my local card shop ripped open 20 cases and got shit 😂 Even the Donruss elite series that were numbered to 10k were almost impossible to pull. What's crazy is each year I think they had 10 players in the Elite set, one legend card numbered to 7500 and an autographed legend card numbered to 5000 ( that's 112,500 cards) and I saw people open multiple 24 box cases and not pull shit! It shows you the absurd print runs during the junk wax era!
