I see a lot of pond owners choose to cover the pond instead of letting natural ice cover the top. ice actually acts as an insulator to keep the under water above freezing. But what works for me in zone 6 may or may not work for someone else. Happy Holiday my friend.

I’m in zone 6 Pennsylvania and ice is covering my pond already. Small floating heater and air pump to keep hole open and that is it. Filtration all removed, cleaned and ready for next year.👍🏻

Always sad to say goodbye to the pond season, now to think about any changes or upgrades for next year.

Im contemplating adding a couple of fish. I do want to ask about your patio peach. Have you had any successful harvest? If so how was the fruit. I have a patio peach and bonanza peach. They’re a nice size but the first year in my garden.

This is the video I was looking for. I was wondering why my shiso with red leaves didn’t turn red. Now I know I needed to add lime juice.😂😂I was goin to add some hibiscus dried flowers to add that red color.
