Kind of tired of people saying Sabrina is “canceled” or that her career is over. I’m aware that it’s just the podcast name, but then it doesn’t make sense to cover Sabrina, a still very successful artist. The issues are mostly on Twitter, which is a cesspool in itself. Outside of that niche, I’ve seen a majority of praise for her.

"When we all fall asleep, where do we go?" was the title of her album. It explored dreaming, depression, ect. At this time in her career she was asked the same 6 Questions in every interview: 1) Where did the title come from? 2) Whats with all the dark imagery in the videos? 3) What is it like working with your brother? 4) Why do you dress the way that you do? 5) What has it been like to become famous at such a young age and do you like touring the world? 6) You were home schooled right? How do you think that differed for you and your peers who went to public school? (Over the past two decades public school teachers have been quitting their jobs and switching careers, or joining home schooling co-ops because so many parents expected the school to do all the teaching and deal with their kids behavior issues without supporting the teachers when they have to tell the kid no. So it is all she really knows about why some parents choose home schooling.) Thank you for giving her some grace on her being a teenager that thinks she knows more than she does. She got to the point that sometimes she would go ahead and answer the basic questions before they were asked in the hopes that the interviewer would move on to more interesting topics. She has turrets, adhd, Dyskinesia, on the spectrum, and synesthesia. There is a lot that she deals with, & while it can contribute to her talent, it is also really isolating when you constantly have to explain why your thinking paths seem to differ from everybody else. ❤

i enjoyed the podcast but a little surprised you didn't understand the format of the over/under interview. it's a long-standing interview that hundreds of artists have done. billie discusses that interview in this capital fm interview at about the 6 minute mark. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fGa8o5mugMylp8k as she says, she's done hundreds of interviews over the years. i've seen her do them when she's clearly not doing well mentally. she's sick or exhausted or she would rather be anywhere else. also, her parents had a very non confrontational style of parenting and they've been her employees since she was about 15 yrs old. but they did indeed intervene many times when she was taking the interviews somewhere she'd regret later. i think, overall, she's a good kid at heart. she's also said a lot of very surprising and wise things that get very little attention from the twitterati.
