They definitely need Micah back at least... their guitars definitely lost alot of their soul without his leads. I wish Casey never left us.

All the love for Casey, but Micah deserves a nod too. He’s so eloquent and earnest in this interview. If I’m not misreading it, he even encourages Casey and I think it’s to instill confidence in his bandmate. It’s like an older brother looking out for his younger sibling. When he abruptly praises Casey as being a better player than himself, you can’t help but smile. Top lads both.

Wild how this dude can cite Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, and Black Sabbath as influences, says he was in funk and jazz bands... yet his playing sounds like that. Dude can't even count off at the right tempo

I can tell Casey was on some thing in this video, and you can hear the depression and his comments. I’ve listen to these guys for over 18 Years minimum and never realized whole story till recently. Now that I’ve got kids almost his age just makes you think twice.

Of all the "emo" bands I grew up on, it's a shame Hawthorne Heights is one of the bands still producing music. What happened to bands like TBS, Thursday, Armor for Sleep, Burden of a Day, you know, the good bands? Instead, we're left with a washed-up band that produced ONE single that was worth listening to. Albeit that single was only worth listening to for the first 50 times you heard it on every "alternative" rock station throughout the country. A shame. I'd call it a "crying shame", but this isn't my AIM account where I pretend like my depressive "away message" is going to make my ex-girlfriend feel bad enough to text me back. Edit: In case you were wondering, she never texted me back. </3

His death was bought on due to substance abuse, my guess he was abusing the benzo class drug (clonazapam) which gives the user a very calm and high affect at high doses. mixed with Vicodin which also acts on the central nervous system would make it a very nasty cocktail of drugs. doctors can and do prescribe benzodiazepines and opioids together, but at low doses. Casey’s body would of completely shut down that tragic night from abusing such potent and powerful drugs. RIP none the less.
