I started reading books because I loved stories, so I started reading with tamil books and slowly got into english novels. I don't read only for the stories, I read because it gives me comfort and friendship. I never feel lonely when I have a book with me ❤ and they teach me how to understand people around me, and it taught a lot of life lessons and those friends(book characters) never left me alone and after completing novels, I will talk about it with my friend who hates reading books😅 As a student, I don't have a big bookshelf or something but still I read in digital😊 My favourite books like radio silence by alise oseman and the song of Achilles by Madeline miller, have changed my character and life a lot. Same as you, I started to read books during my college lockdown days. During my school days, I used to borrow books from library and wouldn't finish it before the due date because of academics and eventually return it🥲. As everyone says, an Indian book reader's first book would always be Chetan Bhagat's. Yes, it's true. My first completed novel to be said was One Arranged Murder by Chetan Bhagat. At the end of the same year, I targeted to finish all his books and I did accomplish. Meanwhile, I also explored the works of Ravinder Singh, Durjoy Datta and Anurag Garg. In the year 2022, my reading journey slowly navigated towards foreign authors. I started with Da vinci code (Dan Brown), The girl on the train (Paula Hawkins), The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini). Being a slow reader, I would take more than 10 days to complete a book at that time in spite of being consistent😅. It was in the year 2023, I found your youtube channel. Earlier, I used to watch your review of the books which I read already. But now it became a routine to eagerly wait for your video uploads. I watched the Bridgerton web series (all 3 seasons together) a few months ago and I'm obsessed with it. For the next season to premier on Netflix, we were supposed to wait at least a year. I don't have that much patience 🤣 I came to know that the Bridgerton web series was actually adopted from the novels written by Julia Quinn. For a beginner like me, I thought it was too much. So like most of the Indians do, I chose to read Chetan Bhagat's novel as the first read since they were small in size and easy to read. By then I started to love reading. I began to read many fictions which transported me to their world and I started to enjoy that. Reading books is like a drug. Once you start to enjoy it, getting back is really hard. Now, it has become an addiction for me and I'm cherishing it. Recently I read a tamil novel " இரவு" by author jeyaMohan. It has completely changed my perspective of night and people who love to be a night owl. You must give it a try. Another book is "Fahrenheit 451" by author Ray Bradbury. Reading books is prohibited in this dystopian future society, and if discovered, it will be burned along with the owner's home. The storyline was really intriguing. It gave me a new perspective on reading books and their values. After reading this book, I feel quite fortunate that reading is still not prohibited in our society.... My first ever fic book is Harry Potter. I started reading it when I was 13 yrs old. Initially i bought 1 book in old book shop and the next year on the same month my mom bought me another one. Then I was so obsessed with Harry Potter. Infact this the only book I ever knew about😅. I always buy books in old book shop and now that I am in clg I often visit my clg library to borrow books. After watching many yt videos like urs i came to know about lot of Books . I read books like atomic habits which really inspired me to read more books.
