Great video…just a slight correction at 1:13…the dropped ball is to team of the last player that touched the ball not necessarily to team that had possession. Touching the ball is not necessarily possession

Thank you for this video @refereeleadership One of my questions was, if I ball is lobbed over from one end of the field to the other by a defender (red) and it's clear that the attacker (red) that was supposed to receive the ball will not go after it because it's already close to the goalkeeper, do I stay in line with that ball to keep an eye on the unexpected or do I stay in line with that last defender no matter what - Thank you again!

Go with the ball. If the goalkeeper mishandles it and then stops it around the goal, you need to know if it went slightly but completely over the goal line. That's your responsibility when working as an assistant. Once the goalkeeper securely holds the ball, then you can be a bit ahead going back up the field, as long as you are still in a good position to see if they carry the ball out of the penalty area before punting or throwing it.
