Creating computer generated graphics has been the hardest part of getting my degree. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video for what seems like a very simple task, and it probably is a simple task for the younger generations. I am not one from of those generations. I did not have computer classes in my high school and college professors assumed I had these skills already when I went to college the first time. Thank you so much!

I love the explanation and connection Dr. Hoefer makes between being an early bird and time traveler as one gets started in the grant writing space.

Suzanne; Thanks for taking the time to comment. I'm very happy you found the video helpful. The idea was suggested by a former student and it's been very popular across various disciplines. What other videos would you find helpful?

thank you so mucb sir, and how to save it into the thesis, reports etc???
@DrRickHoefer

Hi, Hassan; Thanks for your comment. Since you are creating this in microsoft word, you can just create it directly in your report (if you are using word to write your report). Since this will be in landscape orientation and your report will be in portrait orientation, you have to do some other things with "sections" to have the landscape page be in its own section, but that's a bit beyond what I can explain in a comment. Or, just create the logic model and put it in the last page, again after creating a new landscape oriented section. Hope this is helpful! and thanks again for your comment.

This is so true! I remember my case, not really grant writing. I was working under the supervision of someone, and was assigned to write Introduction and Lit Rev. However, I have very little information and direction on what should be covered in this part. I was told the analysis of data and results are there, now we just need the beginning part and Lit Rev. However, I was barely given information about the findings, I have minimum understanding of what broad issues my supervisor would like to cover. It is very hard to work with little communication, support, and little exchanging of ideas. I don't want to spend a lot of time then later have the part deleted or altered significantly , but that still happens.

This makes a very good point. If the organizational environment encourages learning from mistakes, instead of hiding them, they will have an organization that is less afraid to be more honest, and an organization that learns a lot.

Thanks, Flor; I agree that mission drift has gotten a bad rap all the way around. Sometimes it is just showing that current reality no longer fits what the mission has been.

I never thought of nonprofit agency mission drift as being possibly beneficial. It's always been said to be a really bad thing for a nonprofit. But this video makes a lot of sense about how to plan for mission shift as things change for the agency.

There is a lot of people turning over in nonprofits--the pay isn't the best and the responsibilities are considerable. But this tip sounds like something I need to put on my "do do" list so people feel more supported. Great video.

This is FANTASTICALLY useful information. I will talk with my web support folks to see which of these ideas we can implement right away, and which we can do over time. Do you consult with agencies who want more detail on your ideas? That would be great!

Such a simple idea, but no body teaches this kind of stuff to people in the field. Thanks for translating research studies into something ordinary educated nonprofit leaders can "get" in less than 5 minutes! I can't wait to watch your other videos!
