Lucky enough to have been evacuated from Cyprus in 1974 in one of the beauties, landed at RAF Brize Norton after one of the best flights in my life (and I'm 74!)

I cannot watch this with dry eyes. This aircraft, and those like it on display, will always be a tribute to the crews who flew the long missions and endured those long hours on quick-reaction stand-by in the interest of peace. And anyway, what a magnificent spectacle!

thanks for the awesome footage! Just a quickquestion: Minute 15:41 where do you stay, is that a "normal" spot for everbody with normal ticket or is is Grand View Garden etc? Looks like its at the western part of runway... So they parked at the Static position and rolled out from there to the western part of runway to taxy down to the takeoff position at eastern end of runway...and afterwards they came back, same way. Thats cool! Minute 00:45 thats also a "normal" Position where the crowd is? amazing! Thanks from Germany. Andreas
@264flightАй бұрын
Hello Andreas. Yeah that’s a normal spot with a normal ticket. You are correct me and my group now head to the western end of the flight line where I can get these amazing shots. There are no crowds at that end ether so you can get to the front fence without anyone in your way. If you ever attend RIAT in the future you would be more than welcome to join us 😄👍

Is there anywhere in Britain where the view is not ruined by wind turbines? The sooner R-R's Small Modular Reactors are allowed, the sooner the countryside might return to being something worth being in.

Thanks from Texas ! We lost Texas Raiders in that air incident , I have always followed Sally G. To my UK friends, (I am a Brit expat in Texas) .. Come over to USA air shows ! You can get along the flight line and touch, even fly in the Warbirds. Much more access to the planes than in English Airshows. Of course most are American planes and the UK has much more RAF and other German content . Make a trip over, to Oshkosh or any of the CAF events, Wings over Houston is a once in a lifetime event ! Thanks for your post, I visited many Duxford events ,,

I must do that very soon. Thanks for the kind comment and glad you enjoyed the video 😄👍

@@264flight As I say as a brit I love the 90% UK content in the UK. Come to wings over Houston in October or other and see how the USA put on an Airshow. Its different and hands on ! You will not be disappointed.

Regretted wasn’t able to be allowed a USAF-RAF Exchange tour from a B-52G to a Vulcan for a real career-broadening tour of duty. Instead was screwed with a non-volunteer tour in USAF Air Training Command.

I remember this day clearly. The bosses got the whole company out side in the car park to watch it. The sound of the sonic boom was unreal something I’ll never forget and the speed it passed us in erdington about 8-10 miles away from the airport was very fast 👌

Thanks for a brilliant though sad video. I always loved to see these wonderful aircraft, in whatever livery, but I prefer the older [60s? RAF]] scheme, if I had to choose. We all know they can't fly forever - but if only....

And you idiot Brits put this fine example of your aerospace talent to pasture to take US military aerospace tech designed in the 1950s (B52) which this example was designed as well but can fly circles around the B52s even to this day!!! Even the B2 has difficulty to keep with this Vulcan at low level flying ability. You Brits just gave up on yourselves decades ago to be hoodwinked by the US. Just pathetic.
