Why do people always say "Hey bears"? Bears don't understand the English language, so why not say instead, "I am ready with my 12 GA", or "I am ready with my 10mm"?

Are they yearlings? (Idk if that’s the right term for them lol). Otherwise it seems like you guys did exactly what you should’ve and had an amazingly encounter! Thanks for sharing

Idk if the man who moved towards the backpack saved you guys' life or if he could've gotten you killed instead. I would've just focused on backing away (since you already had spray).

A BIG round, brown butt running into the woods. They looked like young bears.

The lesson to be learned here is not to get comfortable with encounters. Next time do not assume they will react the same way. Good job staying calm and having protection at the ready.

😂 curious? Ya just curious about eating and fuking you up if they feel like it. Damn you see how fast they ran off too? That extra gear? Way too close if you ask me. And I definitely spend some time out doors in the parks

And yet I've heard you're supposed to stand and put your arms up to appear taller all the while you're supposed to make loud noises to "scare" them off...

I felt like a mouse with two cats honing in on me. Bears can easily outrun a quarter horse as proved at the end of the clip.

Looked to a young curious one in front, a 1 yr old? ...not experienced, took off like at the race track - incredibly fast, run down a horse in 40 yards. good job staying calm and saving that very expensive bear spray.

We were in BC driving on back roads in a truck . Deep in back country .Saw 5 grizzles that afternoon all with in 2 hrs . One sighting was 2 first yr Cubs running around a pond . The Rangers pulled up near us and said over their P A system To move out of the area ,that we were in danger , Upon looking around the momma was right behind our truck . Good thing one of us didn’t get out to take a pic of Cubs . Pretty Area ,all BUSH , mountains .no civilization. My brother in law and wife camp out here in a TENT on summer weekend getaways . Not FOR ME ! We’re from ONTARIO . A black bear scares us !

I went there in August Outback camping and did not see one at all... we did however in the distant C2 trees snap right in half by the third one suede back and forth.. could have been a grizzly.. I did have the pleasure of seeing a mama moose and its baby... absolutely breathtaking.
