Great photos. Saw the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band there in Glendale. Thank you.

I was so lucky to be going to Pasadena City College when Mr. Morgon was popular and heard him play. Loved the great folk scare. Saw Hearts and Flowers at The Ice House in Glendale wouldn’t trade those memories for anything. Thank you.

Tim used to come to the bakery where I worked in Pasadena. He was just getting started in his singing career. In fact he taught me to drive stick shift in his "woody"

MOVING PARTS This was not our Sunday drive to the country. Mother, patient the seasons in their slow march would reveal in time a way forward, strengthened our belief such sojourns made life bearable. Father, unsure of where we were going, no longer interested which way was west, said nothing save, "Well, that’s that." His eyes said all he could have said as he closed the door. Leaving town we waved goodbye to its trees, well-known namesake, so rooted in place thought had it we could wait as long as needed, should we decide to return. But today we would be somewhere else. Later somebody remembered a window left open, a door unlatched, something we had forgotten. Though others would follow, no one who leaves home ever really goes away.

I would go to the Glendale Ice House to see Tim. I still have a table reservation from 65 that I have kept. Awesome memories and times.

Well I love it a blast from the past! I was crossing the street with my son one day and I saw a guy walking by with a pizza box and because he was about my age I looked at him and said don't cook tonight call Chicken delight! He started cracking up

I don't know what Billy Yatsko was talking about or whom he alluded to when he said "That's Sue." What a character. His identification of nearly everyone was a miss. I like Billy Yatsko. The last I heard he was living somewhere in Florida. I know Sonny lives in Arizona and owns and operates a rock shop for gem lovers. There is some footage at Facebook of him at some meeting of rock hounds and gemologists. Nick Campbell

The man pictured is hanging the horseshoe incorrectly. It should be hung up and not down. The way he is hanging it, one's luck would run out. It was such a discussion that led to my having written the poem.

Saw Tim at Glendale Ice House with my girlfriend, now wife of 55 years. Still have the reservation table placement from our date there together. A different time for sure in the mid 60's. Miss those days.

Laura Weber is the true lost PBS star. We may live in a Julia Child, This Old House, Sesame Street, and Mister Rogers' world, but Laura Weber was just as influential as them in the 1960s with her folk guitar lessons. Laura requested that her shows be destroyed or shelved forever after her death, which unfortunately KQED supposedly has gone forward with. So much valuable folk music history gone. Or blowin' in the wind shall we say.
