RIP Keaton. You were so very talented and I wish you would've lived out the rest of your life to express yourself and your grief. I'm so sorry that no one was there for you to help you when you were at your lowest. I'm sorry that no one checked in on you. I wish you would've said something. Reached out for help, anything. We miss you. Your family misses you. I hope you have found peace.

Going from finding a band and hearing them on KZbin to watching a live performance of his actual voice is very disappointing.

From all the footage of thier past live performances, it might be that he tends to strain his vocal cords easily but sadly, RIP Keaton... TCTT will always be one of my fave bands though...

i remember talking to him at a show years ago when he was still in the band, one of his primary pedals was the line 6 DL4 delay effect pedal

I clicked on this video expecting him to be singing an octave lower with shitty screams. Boy was i wrong. Dude has a great voice.

@@robjobse8860 his screams are insanely good. But def off key, I agree
@FALCOR12203 жыл бұрын
Can't begin to tell you how much I hate it when singer go down an octave live. Keaton killed it. And his screams sound better here lol
@L2_Impart2 жыл бұрын
@@FALCOR1220 Well, it's because in live shows, you need to perform for hours, and with high belts at the top of the range (C#5) plus pitched screams ain't easy to do live. So, in order to preserve stamina, singers lower a bit the key, but an entire octave? That's crazy, man, if you couldn't even perform it a couple notes lower, why the fuck do you even create a song that exceeds your capabilities

I had the pleasure of opening up for these guys long before they were "Too Close To Touch" and this performance, to me, shows exactly what they are about. When I played with them, after the show, Keaton (vocalist) and Travis (bassist) were super supportive of what my band was doing at the time. It was a local Lexington, KY show and they knew we'd driven from Kentucky just to play the show...but they were so humble, welcoming, and just excited to be there for the music. Judging by this performance, I don't think that's changed at all. Despite having numerous dates back to back to back, Keaton and the band showed up and gave it 110%. Sure, Keaton was pitchy here, but you could tell he and the rest of the band were doing everything in their power to put on a show. The guy has probably had to sing quite a few dates without vocal rest here, and yet he goes out on that stage and does everything he can to sing every word. That's what separates the local acts from the big leagues: dedication. They've got it and they've deserved every single thing that has come their way thus far, and will continue to come thier way. Much love guys, so happy to have met you when I did!
