Even without Ballo, another unimpressive home win ... Up by only 1 pt with exactly 3m left ... and an amazing 1-20 on 3s ... This is going to be a very poor road team that collapses in the last 6-8m ... I do not regret cancelling my live stream subscription after that Louisville game - NOT AT ALL!

My first year as student in Bloomington was Knight's second year as coach ... A few friends and I were driving down to Florida to catch a flight to Jamaica when we heard the news that Kentucky had beaten us 92-90 in the NCAA ... and that still stands as the toughest, most painful loss in my life as a sports fan ... no other game comes close. OTHER VIVID MEMORIES: 1) MINN beat OSU on the last day of the 72/73 season to give IU the B10 title ... Just minutes later I was crossing 10th St and I was stunned to see a mob of hundreds of fans storming down the street in celebration ... 2) The best game I ever saw at Assembly Hall was against ND in '73 that IU actually lost ... we were sitting under the basket when ND came out to warm up and OMG you should have seen the legs on Adrian Dantley up close - they looked like tree trunks ... 3) ND beat us in that game in Bloomington by 3 pts and the pressure down on the floor was so intense in the final minutes, that when ND forward Billy Paterno was fouled and stepped to the line, he was actually crying as he shot those FTs ... 4) Iowa played us in Bloomington in '76 and in that game IU ripped off a run of 28 pts straight points ... 5) That same year OSU came to town and before tip-off, a ceremony was held to honor OSU coach Fred Taylor ... as Taylor was making a brief speech, a fan yelled "hurry up so we can start the game" ... Taylor then said: "why do you think I'm taking so long - we don't want to play you" ... the score at the end of the first half of that game was IU 40, OSU 15 ... 6) I attended the '73 FINAL FOUR in St. Louis as we played UCLA in the semi-final ... early in the second half IU looked overmatched as UCLA built a 54-32 lead, but we then went on an 22-3 run to cut the lead to 57-55, the most incredible comeback I have ever seen! I could go on ...

Bad coaching and bad culture makes bad teams to watch!!

Hate to say it, but IU will not make the NCAA Tournament. It looks like another 18-19 win season ( at best) of mediocrity again!! This team is awful to watch!!

40-3...LOL, Indiana is outclassed by Notre Dame, one of college football's best teams, like Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, and Penn State. Hey, UNLV, Boise State, and Arizona State also made it to the national stage. Do they belong in the play-off? Yes.Yes and Yes. However, the lopsided contest against top-ranked teams is boring to watch.

why the reluctance to return short kickoffs? Looked like many times they had running room, but declined to do so. That and too many missed tackles which I'm guessing is having to adjust to a faster ND team than IU was used to facing, but hurt them badly. Except for that pick on the 2 yard line and that crazy runback on the next. play, I think this game could have been really tight. A great year for the Hoosiers - no doubt about it.

As a Hoosier alum I’m so happy to have Coach Cignetti! Confident and intelligent coach who has a no BS system and handles the spotlight. Even when IU lost, he gave credit to other teams and points out his teams flaws. Will be a playoff contender going forward

There is a very real possibility we have at least one double-digit home loss and the boos return like last year ... Looks like we go 12-8 in B10, maybe 11-9 to finish with 21 / 22 wins ... if we then go 2-1 in B10 tourney, we finish 22-13 ... Will 22-13 be good enough for an NCAA bid with no non-conference "resume wins"? ... I think not ... HARD TO BELIEVE!

We lost, but Cig kept it respectable ... All of the other first games were blowouts, but we kept it interesting to the end ... And I understand and respect his explanation on why he chose to punt late in the 4th Qtr ... But our playoff appearance had a real cost, as Cig said it hampered their recruitment of portal transfers ... F the boneheads with the NCAA!
