Dang.. I was hoping to see the entire image/drawing! I felt so much from the partial image that I was basically locked into a suspended expectation/anticipation of a deeper emotional response once the entire image was revealed... but it never came. Maybe that was the intention though

I drew a part of the face of the father lion as a representation, In this art it represents someone we appreciate and is our example to take in life ,we want to follow and be like him :) thanks for comment Michael !

I only meant that I was immediately captivated by the image & what it represents. & that, because of the lions majesty & representation on poise & power, I was expecting to be even more moved/affected when the full image was shown - revealing the size & maturation of the male/father lion in comparison to the cub. It was definitely meant as a compliment; a way of saying I wanted more. Thanks for sharing your art! I don't know the last time I was immediately captivated & so emotionally invested in a piece, simply because of it's composition ( as opposed to the imagery & detail). & you did so just by varying saturation of white against a black background, letting the contrast do the work for itself. Beautiful!

Lions ( even male lions) are among the most intelligent creatures in the natural world. Cognitively, the out-pace & out-last all big cats! They're also more intelligent than domesticated/house cats & are, fundamentally, as intelligent as dogs. They are, obviously, carnivorous & highly social animals ... carnivores tend to be smarter than their herbivorous counterparts, while socialization & communication are born of intelligence. & their laziness is more subjective than objective. They behave genetically appropriate

A characteristic of the lion is to be a leader by nature, in my art I wanted to represent, when we have a leader (father, teacher, mentor, etc.) or if we are leaders. Thanks to our leader he has not given up in difficult times, we are inspired to take him as an example and follow his footsteps .
