Another great round up guys, I'm certainly looking forward for my Cantina to show up next autumn. It will be interesting to see who or what Hasbro announces in the meantime. For now though, it's time to look forward again to recieving the Ghost!

My takeaway is Hasbro needs to do the advertising outside our community reach. There are thousands of people that watch the content on Disney+ but don’t follow online communities. This is where Hasbro should be targeting. I love the homegrown content our community delivers but at the end of the day we are just targeting the same audience over and over again.

Imagine the Ghost figures coming with the ring of death or later on the tonnika sisters people are gonna go crazy. Not me though i open everything.

As far as the “heads up” and the “saving money” I think you guys are a little off. Most people aren’t buying the Haslab until they see what it actually is. A true reveal at a minimum. Putting it out physically (like the Ghost at SDCC) really gives it a boost because it’s tangible. That’s the way most people work. A nameless Haslab only moves some people. A leaked grainy image barely moves the needle at all and actually was a detriment in those first days. Too much speculation creates a void. A void creates negativity. So a company should not look at that leak as the actual beginning of the campaign. Like I said, most people that spend $500 need to know details and have to know what they’re getting. With 15 more days, you’re looking at around 12,000 to 15,000 more backers. Just based on doldrum day numbers. Then add in the fact that some people get paid monthly, even 5 more days would’ve bumped the numbers a good bit. I say all of this to say that yes, the shortened campaign was a negative and almost certainly cost us the final tier. Anyway love you guys. Enjoyed the pod!!😊

Great episode, fellas - no notes. I did get Kanan in yesterday, and he is a welcome addition. I'm not super into his S1 & 2 look (he looks like a guy who listens to "Jimmy Olsen's Blues" by the Spin Doctors on repeat), but having a little realistic interpretation of him just hits differently. He and Zeb are both figure of the year contenders, imo. Despite its hiccups, the Cantina was still a great success - not massive, but great. It overcame some odds in terms of demand (as Tyler explored pretty thoroughly), price versus how far a paycheck goes anymore, and a lack of figure support for any newer collectors. Hopefully, we'll see some real dedication to it for the more particular collectors who delight in screen accuracy. For those of us who aren't as put off by using it for whatever, it's already a fantastic addition to the collection. I've got so many plans for next year.

Prediction: We're going to get an expensive "army builder" (opened figure) box of the 5 OR 6 HasLab figures. Greedo will be a carded release.

What are u all talking about? Ppl need to complain about what they want and don't want. There are more productive ways to do it. I just urge you all to think about this: you three seem to like EVERYTHING SW. Many of us do not. Not personally a fan of Disney stuff and I grow tired of Ahsoka, BadBatch, even Mando stuff. Being tied at the hip w/ Disney will force Hasbro's hand into producing things that many people do not want. Letting them know isn't horrible. Just be respectful as you would w/ anyone in an in-person setting.

I very much disagree with the notion that all TVC products/Haslabs should be successful no matter what. Are there bad actors on the internet that will shit on anything regardless? Yes. But we shouldn't be blindly positive about every release. Hasbro should not be shielded from criticism, ESPECIALLY when they're charging hundreds of dollars for premium products. It's Hasbro's job to make products that people want to buy. Whatever people say in the community are secondary to that.

I agree with pretty much all of your guys' frustrations with this campaign and I kind've feel like it's a miracle it was as successful as it was when it seemed to have been cursed by an evil witch from the start. The one thing I have to disagree with in the episode is that I am really starting to hate the "if we make THIS we have to give up THAT". I know it's literally true but if we don't give up something for Wolfman, we're giving something else up for something else. It's definitely not fun to think about and in my opinion, not very productive.

Also, why did Hasbro only give 30 days for this campaign, not 40 or 45? Is it maybe to force the more "susceptible" FOMO-filled buyers to back right away? There are 2 types, people with fear, and people without... If this had not funded, OH WELL. But, since it unlocked more than I thought it would, I got 2, (one to sell later). I think a very loud message needs to be sent to Hasbro, and if the cost is: "No more Haslab Vintage collection toys", then so be it. This company is greedy, and I doubt they'll ever stop milking it at this point. I'm just tired of us consumers begging for scraps, and acting like we should be happy. BUT I am sure if someone with a KZbin channel based off of a product that they need to succeed in order to keep being relevant, they're going to make all manner of excuses for Hasbro.

It's ignorant to say "Duh, (sarcastically), Do you mean if you back early it's better than waiting until the last minute?).... Where is your empirical data? I personally didn't think it would fund. I said to myself, "If it reaches Greedo, I will back 2". Because at that point, it'd be worth it to me personally, (same amount of figures as Ghost campaign). Those who want to "back early", I will let their FOMO set off all the temple traps, and then I will go in and get the valuable artifact. Like the comment from dxundownload8635 down below, some people have different reasons on "when they back", I think that comment is nonsense from people who back early, who feel bum-hurt because they think they aren't get any tiers. In reality it's gonna unlock, whatever it's gonna unlock. If anything, those comments sound shill-like to some us, taking whatever your offered with a grin, is sad. I DO NOT support the way Hasbro does business. Their offerings are way too expensive, not being promoted enough to get backers. They no longer have anything on store pegs to pivot to FOMO inducing exclusives where they can price gouge. They make a million excuses for poor quality. Etc. I have backed 1 Khettana, 5 Razorcrests, 2 Ghosts, 2 E-wing's, 2 Cantina's and bought 2 Jabba's palace fat Fortuna offerings, and every figure. So when I say that I am a part of the community, and have the money to blow, I will also tell you that I have another life besides toys, Hasbro, and SWTVC. I can take it or leave it.

Love yall but literally putting 5 dollars away isn't an option for those of us with families and single income. I know you don't mean anything by it but statements like that make some people feel bad for not having any extra income

It should fund 8k but 17k is not promising at the moment. Price tag is expensive for a few plastic walls and tons of cups. This cantina has been something I been hoping for over 20 + years just to have the haslab team mess this up no lights or sounds, no promise of future cantina denizens or the base offering 3 figures only. In my opinion the base offering should started with 3 figs and the deluxe with 6 both offering including the tiers making it a total of 9 figures if you purchased the deluxe version. This would had made more sense when paying a xtra 100 dollars for the deluxe version. I purchased 2 cantinas in deluxe, but I'm really on the fence if I should even keep purchasing anything from hasbro anymore. It's becoming a false promise from hasbro to give us New main line figures the pegs are empty. For star wars tvc collectors.

As a die hard prequel trilogy AND original trilogy fan, i will be devastated if we don’t get some new ROTS figures next year 🙏🏻

I’m a huge 3.75 diorama guy. However, I may not back it. This feels like a half effort Haslab. The backside and bar ceiling looks unfinished. It simply doesn’t have that “Wow factor”. I refuse to have FOMO over something that I can 3-D print now and in the future, especially if you take into consideration that 3-D printing is a technology that just gets better every year. Then there’s the price, Of course there will always be people who will back these things no matter what, but there is a large group of people who are sitting on the fence and will decide not to back up because of the price. It’s overpriced and everyone knows it. It ain’t no Barge or Razor Crest. I can see why many are calling this a hard pass.

I really hope the Cantina backs. It's slow going right now.

Loved hearing your wishlist John. I definitely want all of those except for Toro Calican, who would make me angry if they made. I especially want Ackmena. I'm glad to see a bunch of people requesting her. She would be another high point in an already high Haslab time. To add to your list, my #1 Patron demand is now Baniss Keeg. We really need her to go with poor Ellorrs Madak who has been alone for over 20 years now. Give the poor guy his wife for pete's sake. And along with your black R2 unit, I want the Mos Eisley Gonk Droid. We see it a couple times including standing next to Threepio when Garouf tells on Ben. It has a really striking design. Finally, the ball speeder. Definitely need that to put next to the facade.

when you take leg off you can see the ball-jointed hips that is with my this is why me hate hate hate you swivel. me hate the thigh swivel with passion. you can't make the thigh armour swivel not actual leg swivel for one its 3.75 figures and hard to work with. It makes no sense to me that it's only 3.75 action figure that I'm only going to display on a shelf. or do 2 versions same figure one with swivel and one without stupid thigh-swivel . me wish they can do another designed on stupid thigh swivel in to hips or do a hips keep sculpts. of the thigh armour. to me you guys make are 3.75 figure look like freak if they did one without the thigh swivel. for troopre it would sell anyway me don't cary way it look on thigh armour.

TPM's my favourite Star Wars movie so I loved hearing all the warm feelings in this episode, and really that's what Episode 1's all about - warm feelings. Tho I have to say, it did make me feel even more pain at the fact that we are getting zero figures this year while everyone else gets to have fun. We really need some TPM love in TVC.

I totally had those Ep#1 TacoBell toys and a few of those cup toppers/special edish coke cans! They went well w/ the CASES of World's Fair beer that stuffed our basement bar shelves! Lol Sooo ghetto Funny aside, Episode#1 was THE very best merch initiative till then/since then. It makes me sad that younger fans will probably never get to enjoy some thing that they love in this way. Good pod, folks

Great episode. Loved your trip down memory lane. My first Star Wars movie experience on the big screen was “Return of the Jedi” so I appreciate your nostalgia from the perspective of the prequels younglings. There was so much hype in 1999, I was in my twenties like Lewis and I actually liked the Phantom Menace and it’s my favourite of the 3 prequels because of Maul, Qui Gon and a young fresh faced trainspotting Padawan Kenobi.
