Just so you know dude, I’m subscribing specifically because of this video. I haven’t played in like 6 years and finally got back into it a couple months ago. This is a great warmup.

how does sticking work here? do you just do RLRL but drop the sticking on the missing note?

That was some really cool triplet note practice thank you

And what tempo does it start at and how many bpms does it increase each time? Thanks!
@mouthbreather696 ай бұрын
Haven’t made it to the end yet either. Congrats to those who have! 8:30-ish is my best so far after practicing 4-5 times a week for MONTHS!

This is always on my schools Drumline tryout sheet We have to play it twice both at 130bpm 1st time with accents 2nd time with diddles

Super helpful, thanks!!

I appreciate the effort, but this is a very inconsistent interpretation. There are quite a few stray accents.

This... Is played incorrectly? You're playing every buzz stroke as 2 32nd notes basically. However when the buzz stroke is on the 'and' of an eighth note... It is played as two sixteenth notes.... Granted I'm five years late.

Played up to 160 cleanly with traditional grip. 170 and 180 were messy. I've been practicing this for about a year. A year ago i was playing up to 140 clean, so I'm impressed by the improvement. I also use several other of their videos.

A lot of these kind of rhythms can be found in the Carrie Chafee’s classic book “PATTERNS” /book number one: “rhythm and meter”

I like it! It's not INSANELY hard but it's also a good challenge for a beginner/intermediate player and learning rudiments like this. It's fun but also a good lick to learn

In measure 11 there are two groups of 16th notes followed by three beamed 8th notes with the first two partials dotted. That is counted the same as a three quarter note triplet patern?

@drumlinehits Жыл бұрын
How did you get it to play like that
@doodoodaadoo1 Жыл бұрын
I haven't drummed in like, almost 4 years now. I was able to get to 160 and I was pretty proud of that, especially since I was a mallet player during marching band.
