Stolen video

If any of you have listened to Recollection before you most likely saw a pinned comment made by me, which is no doubt a pin of shame. There was a time when I listened to this at one of my lowest points and it brought out SO much from me, only now that I'm talking about it do I remember that moment, however the original comment I wrote is lost to time along with the video, I tried to replicate my points in that original comment on the other video but failed to do so. It still got plenty of bible remarks, TL;DRs, jokes about being a teenager, and jokes about it being deep, as of writing this I have deleted the second comment too, the pin, the heart, and the likes are not worth the shame. When I first wrote the original comment I was a teenager at what is still the worst point in my life, when I wrote the second comment I was in a very negative and confused place in my life, I was trying to copy feelings that I didn't have anymore so yeah, I probably failed to recapture the original comment. I love star wars and although most people say old is gold, and the original trilogy is what started the franchise and we should be thankful for that and this dueling is by far the most exciting, badass, entertaining, and painfully emotional 😢

3:06, 9:46 I really love how John Williams managed to make the music for Obi Wan & Anakin's lightsaber duel sound both epic and sad at the same time, to really capture the tragedy of why the two are fighting. And if you pay attention during the fight you can see Anakin is the one mostly going on the offense, taking whatever swipes at Obi Wan he can while the mining infrastructure melts around them for example. Meanwhile you can tell Obi Wan really doesn't want to kill Anakin and is desperately hoping he can somehow bring him back to the Light Side, but his lack of understanding of WHY Anakin fell and his failure to see just how hypocritical & authoritarian the Jedi Order had become during the Clone Wars, means he's doomed to fail. Obi Wan's line "I have failed you, Anakin" implying he KNOWS he screwed up somehow with training Anakin, but he doesn't know exactly how. And as we see in the Original Trilogy 19 years later, he hadn't learned his lesson and was repeating a lot of the same mistakes with Luke.
