Use the putty water weld first, it will harden like a rock, then coat it with the marine weld you showed.

Just isn’t what it use to be lol I climbed it a few weekends ago on my xt225, back in the day it was a struggle on anything less than a 250mx bike and even then it was still tough and had to be a skilled rider

I love mine, only issue with it is that I need new tiers chain sprockets, so about the general maintenance on a 30 something year old bike

It’s not the idle it’s the clutch in all the kdx’s have a high grip clutch so if you hold the clutch in it will still partially grab and cause the rpm’s to drop just leave it the clutch and idle

Thank you, I know it needs a clutch cable for sure but other than that and the idle it runs great
