This is my first ever KZbin comment, but I really felt compelled to comment on this. I was at the game yesterday and whilst I think there were difficult calls (for both teams), I also find the almost defeatist attitude unusual in the game of rugby. I thought your team showed sparks of great rugby and it was a really close game (credit to you Macclesfield!), yet I myself heard "well, we were never going to be allowed to beat the third from the top". I think that's really disheartening, especially for your players to hear. Some growth mindset mentality needed here - don't make excuses, talk about the gains taken from that match and the improvements needed for the next game. What do you need to continue to do and what can you change for the better?? Whilst supporters were very heated during the game, it was great to see the camaraderie as soon as that final whistle blew. You've got some great things going on Macclesfield, but, being in education, I know that defeatist mindsets leads to heads going down.
