so wait in theory could i build a mfc battery and charge it by taking the leaked methane from American pipelines using the epas tech i suppose one could find them relativity quickly. this would generate money and cause the natural gas companies to really considered shutting off there pipelines before someone profits off them.

So the microbe is basicaly an catalizer to get a free hidrogen from the sugar it eats... why not them separata the membrane/cell from the microbial culture?

can you make a video regarding how to choose/manufacture the right/best PEM for MFCs? how can we know if the PEM we choose is ideal? which properties can we test to figure it out?

Great video but one question, what do you do with the co2 that's been broken down from biomass ? Thats a greenhouse gas so it will be a problem

I wonder if some types of nanowire making bacteria form relationships with plants that can carry electrons skyward, like tall trees.

Hi I am currently a university student and I am writing an assignment concerning MFCs, with your knowledge I want to ask about my results I produced. MFC used was dual chambered, anode material was carbon veil material, and the cathode was activated carbon and PTFE. the membrane was ceramic. Acetate was the substrate and tested for bot river sediment and lawn soil, both produced low power density, but high treatment (oxidation) of the organic matter. please could you explain what occured for the to be lower electrical production? hope to hear from you, thank you for your videos they are so helpful!

where can I find / buy membrane (s) ? Is it possible to make the membrane at home ? What material for the cathode and anode ?
@sharwarinarnaware12062 жыл бұрын
I don't know about membrane but for cathode and anode you can use copper and zinc plates

Thanks for this video. Absolutely informative. I was just wondering: what kind of other bacteria are usually used? Would be possible for the mix of bacteria inside the MFL to use as nourishment micro-plastic from the water?
