Thanks for the review. 😊interestingly Amazon has the open circuit voltage listed in the specs at 23.5 for the SP035 but the site you have on your link has the OCV at 50volts. I need it below 28volts because the Redarc manager 30 is limited to the OCV.

did you notice it spooks predators ? I’ve been debating amber or red as amber is more versital. but red is likely better for creeping and getting set up in woods.
@Outdoorsaustralia8 күн бұрын
It's in between.... amber does some times still spook foxes but not as much as white light, but red is the best I've found they hardly take any notice of me when im using red light

Outstanding review Sir!👏👏👍💡I want to add, At the 28:00 minute mark when you was explaining about the many clicks that's needed to change the settings by 0.1 increments at a time: You can change that to 1.0 increments by pressing the light/video play button that's just beneath and to the right of the record/picture button to zoom through the settings at 1.0 at a time, instead of the 0.1 when twisting the knob👍 Hope that helps because it sure as hell helped me out along with you very helpful instructions in your review!🙏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks for the excellent and informative video. I seem to see on the base of the 2 rings supplied, a recoil stop fixed with two small screws (in addition to the tightening bolt...) this I imagine should guarantee absolute precision of assembly on the picatinny rail. This is important as I would like to mount it on a bolt 308

Yes they have good recoil lugs on the rings and should hold up to any calibre

What type of rifle you using and how often do you clean the barrel? 17's are notorious for spraying bullets if you don't clean after as little as 20-30 shots. If you're not shooting a Tikka T1x, buy one and you'll shoot one hole 50 yard groups. I like Hornady 17 grain V-Max.
@OutdoorsaustraliaАй бұрын
Using a howa 1100, it's usually a tack driver and hasn't been fussy with cleaning in the past but I'll clean it and test some more ammo

Such a strong sound from a shot in this caliber and the accuracy is so-so... And how do you walk through the tall grass at night, because there are snakes there that can bite😲🤔
@OutdoorsaustraliaАй бұрын
Yes a little snappy sound from the 17hmr but not too loud. I walk around with a red coloured led head lamp on, and to be honest, I've seen very few snakes at night compared to the day
@2clicksup910Ай бұрын
Frustrating. For some reason, my little HMR likes the 17 Grain Winchester ammo. This is the cheapest ammo I’ve found, but it works an absolute treat. But, they have a habit of splitting brass; anything from just the neck to the entire length of the spent case, which sometimes needs knocking out with a rod. Do you (or anyone else here for that matter) have the split brass issues with the 17HMR, and are there any brands better or worse than others?
@ExploretheMalleeАй бұрын
Hornady 17gr VMax are superb. I've run them through two different 17hmr rifles and always reliable and very accurate.
@OutdoorsaustraliaАй бұрын
I haven't had the split brass problem with the hornady 20grn, I've seen the hornady 17grn split cases a few years ago in a friend's rifle. I've got some cci A17 ammo to test hope my gun likes that
@larrybinge860Ай бұрын
Ruger, for sure. Nicely balanced with a heavy barrel. Compact fun to use. Good trigger, accurate. The rest of it is average, mass produced crap. Mine went back due to ejection problem, but it came back and has been ok. Only tikka and sako you could say "my rifle is awesome". But you pay of course.
@ExploretheMalleeАй бұрын
@@larrybinge860 I had a heavy barrel Ruger American Target that had exactly the same ejection issues; it went back and then fired beautifully after that. Absolutely a sub-MOA rifle. It was just a bit too heavy for a night of walking around so I then got a Tikka T3x.
