looking at images side by side, my eye finds thermtec easier with more background detail. Something to consider when using in areas where there are lots of things that may make you decide not to take a shot for safety. but, the ease of use when hunting i recon goes to infiray in the field in the dark. I do use pic in pic and i assume both have it, but the zoom function is nice and pic in pic isn't as necessary.

A good honest review Daryl. The only other thing to consider is that Infiray are no more and there parent company is facing US /UN sanctions for selling thermal equipment on the wrong side of the Ukrainian border.

Hello, great review, but I'm confused by the fact that there is a battery inside, over time it will inflate, or it will fail, how will I repair it in the forest? Couldn't they make it only with removable 21700 or 18650 batteries?

In similar devises I have the batteries are still going good at 5+ years old, the unit could be sent in to a repair place for a new battery if it was ever a problem

Great review mate looking at buying one and answered all my questions best review I’ve found!! Looking at getting the 50 finder over the 35 do you think it’s worth it? Shooting with a 204 mainly out to 200-300.

The 50 will see small targets a bit further for sure but it has a more narrow field of view than the 35, it's always a trade off, I love the 35 for when scanning around from the car.

Is the style reticle you showed the only one you can download, or can you choose other styles, like having a stadia wire at the top? Do you choose one of the current reticles in the scope and modify it for you needs and call it number 7, or is the reticle you purchase a totally different one? Can you load multiple reticle configurations into your scope and numbered such as 7, 8, 9 etc and all configured differently? What about colors? Can you have something like white stadia wires but a black center dot, or other color configurations?? Thanks for your help.

I like my P3 but the high mode needs to be higher. A massive jump from high to turbo meant I had to keep hitting turbo. A nice 1200 lumen high would be perfect

defeats the weight but a coper coated bottom( not the inside) will disperse the heat. can just by a tenth of a inch thick. avoid alum at all costs.

You have had the infiray 50 and 35, looking at the base mag of 3.5 on the 50 vs the 2.5-10 on the 35 , is the 50 worth the extra bucks even though it only has base mag

The 50 has more detection range, if your shooting foxes or other small game past 250 meters get the 50. They are quite similar to look through
