Heard him play this with Dead as guest at one of their shows back in the 80's, at least that's how I remember it...

I saw Stephen at Toads Place in New Haven CT in the late seventies. He was there to do a benefit show for a man named Toby Moffet who was running for a seat in Congress. Solo show in a club that sat around 150. Just Stephen and his guitar. To see a legendary guitarist and singer in such an intimate setting was an honor and a privilege.🎸☮️✌️

Strong song, for sure! I think Ray Wiley Hubbard did a cover of this, or maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

I am 45 years old and was fortunate enough to see "CSN" 3rd row at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa in Kelseyville, CA 2004. If I only was left with the choice to pick one band to listen to for the rest of my entire life, it would be hands down "Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young"! It never gets old for me. NEVER! BTW Stephen Stills was absolutely amazing!;)

The album states performance "courtesy of Jose Cuervo Gold Label Tequila". I had never heard of the drink, but a few weeks later, I popped into my post-work off-licence (liquor store to you furriners) and it was festooned with bunting advertising the drink. I purchased my first bottle, and it has been a staple of my life ever since. But i still can't play this like Stills, even sober.

I hear some moorhens and some graylags in the background. Everyone is saying that it's time to go to bed. Birds are sensible about these things. We humans? Not so much.

I Like his Latino rock blues fusion pioneering... Early alt world music stylings... However his blues soul is on par with Lightn'Hopkins... Too cool for school... 😎

Yes his playing is exquisite but tell me how many white men can sing this raspy and creole kind of blues. Stills voice goes right to the back of my neck and messes with the nerves there. This is not a normal white musician.

MOST TALENTED OUT OF CSNY

On the technical side, I believe this tuning is double drop D. Anyone disagree? Recurring riff is hammer-on 2nd string 1st fret with 3rd string 2nd fret alternating D bass string followed by 3 notes open D 3rd string, bass D, D 3rd. This may be wrong. I don’t have guitar in hand. Saw Stephen many times solo and CSN, CSNY, Manassas. Genius. Shook his hand but no talent rubbed off…
