They are applique. Big Worm Graphics in Dallas, Tx makes them.

looks good. I'm just starting my 49 hudson commodore 8. just got it running after it sat for 13 years. body is amazing because someone painted over the old paint. the only rust on the car is the passenger footwell. IN A MASSACHUSETTS CAR
