So with the case of streaming where it is simultaneously connected to my laptop.... if you have a power adapter, should you have the 'USB Power Supply' option turned on? Not sure if it's getting power through the USB connection or just transmitting data

You used the canon m50 as a point-and-shoot and keep saying as any user would. Try learning a little manual photography, slap some good primes in the m50 and then do the comparison.

is there any alternative lens for the same canon m50 which will be better than iphones in clarity? I am really fed up with expensive mobiles. these days irrespective of brands mobile companies are intentionally degrading performance and camera after year and half to couple of years. instead of spending hefty price on mobiles I am just thinking of buring real professional camera and lens , i dont mind carrying it in seperate bag than carrying mobile in pocket.

You really - I should should say I love iphone upfront maybe more on vids, but you really are not taking into consideration the photography triangle what is the f-stop on camera or the shutter speed or the ISO all adjustable and the zoom and what lens did you use? Like the Limes are not even the same size or the clarity on the background is effected by the F-STOP want background clarity use higher F-stop want shallow depth of field us lower F-stop this is basic stuff here and you just IDK what you are doing I can make that photo come out 20 different ways with a few adjustment so non of this should be taken into consideration period. But IPHONE IS REALLY NICE

You can make better portrait shots using a different lens on the M50. And by the way lowlight photos are less punchier than the iphone because it doesn't go with the auto adjustment that the iphone have through software. M50 isn't a smartphone, it's a hardware and needs better post processing skills to get better shots. If you are a real photographer/videographer you'll know that M50 is a better budget choice, and will take better photos and videos through post processing. I am seeing that you do not know how to use real cameras.

This len's best use is still on a speedbooster on a GH5 M2 or GH6. I haven't tried it, but I expect it would also be great on a speedbooster on Sony APS-C. Fabulous lens for video.

the premise of using a DLSR is you will need to edit the photos after you get the shot rather than you get the shot then and there using an iPhone.

The IPhone works on computational photography which is essentially layering multiple shots to give you a high dynamic image. This can all be done with M50 files and with raw will give you a greater dynamic range and will look less cartoonish.

Dang man. Huge miss, here. Unless the intention was "fully auto, JPEG comparison only" The a6400 is worlds more versatile, has a LOT more color in its raw files (assuming you'd use raw, because why wouldn't you with a legit camera?), and it'd be super easy to get the Sony pics to match the iPhone's. Drop it to f/4 or smaller, use a photo preset in camera to raise the vibrance and saturation and warm the white balance and voila. You've got the same look but better pictures in every way.

Having got both I have to agree. However the Sony has the capability to have different lenses attached and a wider use. The iPhone does have pleasing images and is the one I have with me so it tends to get the shot.
