He talks about off-roading. I wonder if this is a Synchro. It would be great if he told us the company names and websites of the products he used on his dash, swingouts, lights, roof extension, etc.

Anyone worried about their sending unit function is going to be in a situation where the unit is inside the gas tank and the car is not starting. There not going to be on their shop bench with a nice clean new sending unit in their hand. So this is a silly ass video.

I have one in my garage for the last 15 years with a blown engine. Got any suggestions for a cost effective, reliable replacement?
@akseakayakerАй бұрын
@@remymarco I would either get a fresh 2.1 maybe a GoWesty or all out with a Subaru 2.5 . I went to a shop that specializes in Subaru swaps and they had a low miles 2.1 water box from a customer wanting the new engine. I get their pull out complete for 700.00 dollars. Great deal and I put it in my van, runs wonderful. Ask one of these shops because the owners don’t want the old engine but it might be clean with lower miles.

the only thing missing was SYNCRO. I have loved these Vanagon Westfalia Campers since I first saw a brand new one in 1980, sitting on the showroom floor of my local VW dealership. I would come in and drool over them, fascinated with their Swiss Army Knife styled engineering and practicality. They were eye wateringly expensive and later, when the very cool and highly desirable Syncro versions came out, even more so. But I've always fantasized about tricking one out to the max. Go Westy is a favorite site to see very cool examples. Very nice build.

@Speedhut8 ай бұрын
Absolutely - our standard gauges work great in every vehicle, and we've specifically made some Datsun-style gauges for guys like you. You can find them here: speedhut.com/categories/gauge-applications/datsun-z.html
