I’m eyeing an ‘06 with 120K miles on it. One owner, all service records complete. I really think it’s a sleeper car. It does have some sharpness, some flash, but ultimately-it’s a practical convertible. You want it because it’ll last a good while if you take care of it-not to mod it out and beat the life out of it.

Five things that I like about my 2006 Toyota Solara V-6 SLE - 1. It is a Toyota in near perfect condition, so little maintenance is needed, 2. it is a convertible, 3. The color, light blue with a tan top and very light tan leather interior, 4. The car cost 35k in 2005, I paid 10k for it from the 2nd owner in 2017, 5. It had 10k miles on it when I bought it. Now it has 20k miles. And a bonus number 6, it is a chick magnate.

Why does the abs and stabilitrack light go intermittently? I just bought mine last week and i had to bring it back to toyota dealer ship to have it fixed. It was the speed wheel sensor but today the lights came back on and went away! I called toyota and i have to bring the car back. Fustrated because toyota gave me my carfax and in the carfax it does not have anything about these lights coming on. I beging to think that maybe it was an issue and was not reported in the carfax. These things should not happen the first week of buying it!

Actually the problems with oil consumption is between 2008-2010. The 2011-2015 is more high chance of not getting an oil consumption. I don’t have that as I cha be every 5k miles. If I have more money. I would love to own 3 2015 Scion xB models. One for lifted applications which I have it. One for lowered application, and one for stock form application with simple mods that doesn’t look like it ok appearance, and should of came as a factory and not optional.

I had a 2011 Scion xB as used as my very first xB2.5 models. It use to be a taxi and it’s 175k miles and change the oil every 5k miles with no issues. Had it for 4 years, and in 2015, I figured it was the last year to end xB models. So I decided to get myself a brand new 2015 Scion xB as a fresh start. 8 years later I already finish paying my xB payment and it’s all mine. Now it’s got 82k+ miles with no issues. I turn into a overland built lifted scion xB. Make it more useful xB. Never took off-road before or at all. But I love this built. Change my oil always every 5k miles. Change my first ATF between 50k-60k. Change at 55k, using Toyota’s oem specifically made for my Toyota/Scion from Toyota dealer, Toyota’s ATF. I change the spark plugs early at around 75k miles. Change my gas cap after 55k miles. Got my full front and rear rotors and brake pads with ceramic. New hardwares change included. And I put a front 3rd/4th gen rav4 suspension with 2” lift, and the rear is custom spacer about 2.5”. Rear shocks and rear springs are the original xB. Of course I get the droops from the front and need new longer shocks or shock extended length. Put a 3rd gen Toyota sienna bullguard with a led spot light bar, roof rails and roof rack installed. I converted all my oem lights from oem incandescent bulbs and halogen headlight bulbs to led. I had sylvania silverstar ultra h11 low beams. And it was very impressive lighting output. Had that for 5 months before led. So now I run from lasfit,auxito, and sylvania zevo led bulb replacement. To see better, and be seeing better, so the drivers know where am I going. And my morimoto banger series off-road pods lights, haven’t hooked up yet but it will be soon. And get my first drain and refil with brand new Toyota super long life 50/50 radiator pink coolant. Make it more useful with aftermarket parts with oem quality parts and fluid to replace and refill. Now this baby handles like a dream, despite how bad it is when it comes to goin through the potholes and train tracks, gives u a headache, and it’s also soft lol. Once I get all the aftermarket suspension I need to replace and get some custom spacers and extensions to fix the geometry suspension, she’s gonna ride like brand new. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Hopefully. And new exhaust lol. @Witchauto

Hello! Im looking at a 2007 Toyota camry solara 2 Dr SLE convertible with 69,073 miles on it for $13,998. Its going to be my first car, do you think for a first car its going to be reliable? Im indecisive.

Sorry for the late reply. With any car it is always good to have a mechanic take a look at it first. Going with a reliable used car is always a good start, but if that car was not taken care of over the years it will be a lemon for the new owner. That price you gave for the mileage for a 2007 is very high. Refer to Kelly blue book.com or NADA guides.com to assess the car's value you are interested in purchasing. That will help you to determine if the vehicle is priced appropriately. Lately car values are on the high side. Good luck in your search!

DeannaRose I no longer have the Buick Encore. I just recently traded it in for a Toyota Prius Prime. I had 37,000 miles on it. I hadn't had any problems at all. I have had viewers tell me that starting at around 50,000 they began having problems. Consumer Reports does show customers having engine type problems as the years go.

I'm really interested in purchasing a Toyota Solara The convertible is very nice I live in Florida so it would be used a lot The biggest problem with convertibles especially the Solara Roof leaks at the back of the convertible there's a rubber rubber waterproofing construction that's no longer available When the roof leaks The whole car gets wet in the backseat Then you have to deal with dangerous mold The Solara SLE has a sunroof and that roof is not going to leak It's also quieter going down the road I'd only get it with the 3.3 motor because 0 to 60 times are in the mid 6 seconds That should be enough to keep up with traffic The low mileage ones That I've seen are out-of-state How do you buy a car like that without getting it checked out Extended warranties Reading some of the reviews from customers that have extended warranties aren't worth the paper that they're written on

Love my 2002 SLE convertible V6 (gen 1). Enjoyed seeing the differences between your model and mine (as mine is also the black with the same interior coloring). Mine has just over 168K miles, and I have been getting about 22 to 24 mpg. It looks like you do not have the small storage compartment on the driver's side lower left. The earlier model had a compartment just large enough to store a roll of quarters - very useful for parting meters and tolls at the time the car was built.

I have a 2006 Solara convertible that I bought in 2017 for 10k with 10k miles at the time. It now has 17.5k miles. I like the cassette player feature because I still have a about 20 -25 cassette tapes that I recorded myself off of my vinyl albums back in the 80s. I live in the frozen north so the car sits covered in my garage most of the year. It has finally warmed up enough today so that I will drive it to meet some friends for lunch. Your watch looks amazing.

Thank you so much for making this video. I am the spouse/caregiver of an intended LVAD recipient. I am 72, and he is 74. Married for 54 years, this year, and I was feeling a little overwhelmed before listening to your video. I am praying to be able to get through all of this and get to a point where we can both be content again and once again enjoy life. Sitting on our back porch listening to a little music, birds in the trees, and just good loving conversation. It is very stressful for both of us right now. My husband is a Viet Nam Veteran, with a lot of anger that this is happening to him. Life has become very stressful, and hard to keep a comfortable and good conversation with him. Watching your video has helped me a lot being his caregiver. I just hope I can do all that I need to do to help him physically, and emotionally. I will continue to follow you, and definitely keep you in my daily prayers. God Bless you! You have a beautiful attitude and an awesome acceptance of your life. May God continue to keep you in peace.

@witchauto7557
@witchauto7557 Жыл бұрын
Hi Rosalia. Sorry about the late reply. The miles and price appear to be a good for that model. One thing you can do going forward though is use some web-sites like Kelly Blue Book.com or NADA.org and enter specific vehicle information and the zip code for your area to see if a vehicle is being sold at a fair price. I'm not a mechanic but keep in mind that if you choose to purchase a Solara with almost 200,000 miles you will need to have the timing chain replaced which is costly. Since the mechanic will be working in that area you might as well replace the water pump as well to save on labor. Speak with a mechanic regarding this and he or she can guide you. Good luck on your search and purchase.

This is not a vehicle that I owned so I don't have an update on how that vehicle is holding up. People are reporting minor transmission problems (Gear selector, transmission computer, transmission sensor or solenoid, clutch adjustment, rough shifting, slipping transmissionz) according to the surveys that Consumer Reports does. Hope this helps.

I just bought a 2008 with only 60k miles on it. Every thing is wonderful except it has cracks in the dash. I guess I could replace the dash at about 3k but that is a lot of money to spend. Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm almost afraid to do anything because it might ruin a great car. Is there a way that it could be restored without entirely removing the dash?
