In your opinion how bulky would this be in a 20# dog?

Does the audible warning alert on the collar or the phone? I can't hear one on the collar. I do feel the vibration though.

Halo 2 and 2.5 usb c charging port was even worse. My 2 collars barely charge because when the fight they grab on the collars sometimes. Teeth ruin it! Was going to upgrade to the 4 soon thanks for the review!

I have been on the fence (haha) about getting a Halo due to reading many mixed reviews on the earlier versions, but I need something more than the Invisible fence we have had for 25+ years and been very happy with. We have a very energetic 18 mth old Redbone Coonhound, which we have had since he was 5 weeks old, he started out as a foster, but he quickly became part of the family. I have never had a smarter and sweeter dog, but he is a handful. He is crazy energetic, independent, feisty, a rule challenger and, of course, still a puppy. Thank you for the video and detail on the settings and improvements. I think this will be a great choice for Tucker and love that we can use it for walks, hiking, traveling, etc. I can’t wait to get it. Thank you!

Thank you for this! I did have a problem with sand getting in my dogs halo 3! I wanna say that part is maybe you can attach it to a wall possibly? But not sure I will hopefully get my dogs halo 4 sometime this week (if they ever ship it) 🙄 lol

Have you noticed increased accuracy and consistency with the dual frequency GPS? That is all that had prevented me from getting the previous halo was many reviewers saying it would not warn before static correction and sometimes well outside or inside of the boundary.

I haven't been able to get the app to work. Each time I tap on the "add fence" icon the app crashes and so far I haven't been able to work out this bug in the app. Hopefully the virtual dog park will be able to give me some advice this week on it.

Have you had any trouble with feed back in the house? On my second collar as first on the GPS just stopped working. I love it but have had some issues with it. Wish they would do like spot on where you can draw a no zone around your house so when dog is inside GPS is off or very low.

It’s one of those things like in a lot of stores now where if you have the membership/rewards program and use the coupons, you can get the proper price back in rewards points/credits to use on other supplies. Otherwise yeah you’re just getting gouged. Also a good thing to know if you don’t already, most big ticket items and medications in the pet stores are 25-50% lower at online retailers

horrible/zero customer service or customer support. the halo is for investors and not for customers. extreme marketing!!! halo dog collar is selling shit in a bag and hates dog owners. extremely disappointed.

Spot on is a boundry training/gps collar.

We got it a few months ago and LOVE it! We live on a farm and take our dog to the lake and hunting often. I love that I can create different fences for different places. It has worked great so far!

Halo is a garbage company. The collar doesn't work, customer service is horrible, the app is trash, so is the website. Basically nothing works for $600 and you get to go through the super awesome mail return process.

Love the SpotOn fence, we've used it for 18 months. Just received my second for my new dog.

I bought the Halo collar about a year ago, and although the accuracy hasn't been great it's worked well enough. One complaint is that if you don't have cell service, you can't give your dog a correction, and the app is super slow. So not very practical for adventures. But for containing my dog at home it's been ok. What really grinds my gears is that when I signed up the subscription plan was $4.99/month, and they've just doubled that price. This feels like a bait-and-switch to me, and a terrible way to treat customers. I wrote them about it, and they just told me how to cancel my subscription. So, I'm thinking of trying some other brand of dog collar just on principle. I don't want to support a business that treats its customers this way.

I just bought one, and am trying to figure out what to do with all the doo-dads that came with it. Your video is helpful to a point, but I wish you'd started right out of the box, explaining where everything goes first, for those of us who have no aptitude for tech and find the instructions pretty useless.
