I have finally found the Permobil podcast, but I had to stop - at least for now - because I cannot stand this narrator ... ! I am spoiled, due to listening to Apes on Tape and WheelTalk - and this lady there sounds kind of "creepy". And usually, all people with a spinal cord injury are getting labled as "paralyzed from the waist down", even quadriplegics/tetraplegics - and this lady claims, that a T12 paraplegic is paralyzed "from the chest down" ... "weird" ... .

I've watched a few of your videos, starting with you reading some of the depressing thoughts you had written in your journals, to now this video where you are so happy. You are absolutely inspiring man and I hope nothing but the best for you😊 This very morning November 13th marks 10 years since my car accident. There were times along the way I was ready to give up, but I'm still here. And it's not corny at all the "attitude of gratitude". By god is it real and true. Anytime I get in a low spot its because I keep focusing on how things used to be before my accident, or heaping all of my negative emotions on the fact that I'm disabled and then feeling hopeless because that's the one thing about my life I can't change. Staying grateful for your blessings, focusing on the positives, and celebrating what you can accomplish. That's the key to flourishing. Im reminding myself of that by typing it out, sometimes its easy to forget after a while😂 Cheers mate🍻 (non alcoholic beers)

Yeah film and tv - amazingly anytime they want an older relative to be frail and ailing just off screen they give them my disease - MS. I can predict it every time - yip they're going to make her Mum an MSer - always spoils the show/film for me because I live in joy day to day, and it shakes me up to see external perceptions of my life with MS

On a similar note, but a little off topic. My neighbors who are 60+ get a tax break for having someone clean their driveway, in winter, but a person who has a disability who isn't 60+ can't get a break for the same service

Is the guy with the baclofen pump a paraplegic? I get bad spasms too. I was considering a pump or maybe a rhizotomy. I have questions like, can he feel it there and does it hurt? And what kind of motions can he not do to prevent damage to it? Also, whether he got the large baclofen pump or the smaller one? Good video by the way.

We have devotees who volunteer as helpers on the sci unit and once we find out we cant have them here as these are very vulnerable newly injured people who are not up to this aspect of being disabled yet ..funny thing is its quite easy to tell who is a devotee and who genuinely wants to help

As a nurse who cares for people with Sci all day I personally couldn't go home and do it ...I would need them to be very independent ...I have always had a crush on you Fred and I am sure u know it but I respect and like your girlfriend so I hope she sees it as a compliment to her taste in men ❤❤❤❤❤❤
You guys just put it all out into the public- unlike the meeting between President Obama and the Dalai Lama back in the day where nothing was made availableto the public to learn from. Your'e benefitting the world more than our so called leaders of the world.

I don't think we should be ok, if someone is overly helpful, and a bit too much. If we don't speak up, they don't know, they just wanted to be helpful.
