Since it’s a HSS hob CBN is used. Depending on the surface finish to be achieved a grain of B46 to max B128 is common.

it's grinding oil in 99.9% of all delivered machines. there is no hugh risk of fire at all with today's grinding oil. in case we also install a fire extinguisher to protect in case and satisfies the insurance ;-)

@@schneebergermachine the one guy put wrong program n wheel hit body of tool n machine caught on fire … suppression system turn it off …but then they decided to spray with a regular fire extinguisher which wasn’t design for that type … it just made a bigger mess

The grinding wheel you used on your grinder is 6A2 resin diamond grinding wheel and 1A1 resin diamond grinding wheel for flutting ?😲

hi! basically you can use every wheel from. in this specific setup for gund drill production we use as you mentioned a 6A2 and 1A1 diamond grinding wheel.

They look like resin bonded. Could be also some hybrid bonding. Our machines can work with all types of bondings.

It’s all FANUC based. This software is available on all actual SCHNEEBERGER machines only. You can find them on our website.
