You should never throw around your new brake pads as the material is quite brittle. The last thing you need is a chipped or cracked brake pad being installed for thousands of miles of use (pressure and heat).

I couldn't get the piston to screw in far enough to get back over the new pads. I was trying to use the cheap block tool, though. Do you need to apply pressure as you screw it in?

Hi there, why didn't you apply lube grease to the end's of the pads and in the bracket clips? Or did i miss that part.

One thing, when you compress the piston on the caliper, you need to make sure the two v-groves on the piston are aligned straight up and down. There is a nipple on the back of the brake pad that has to ride in that grove.
@stewart-D10 ай бұрын
I’m just doing mine now and I noticed that as well , what will happen if the pin on the is not in the pad groove . The piston won’t turn out as the pads wear ?

In reply to the retainers I also just installed these brakes and wondered where those clips go .I know they weren't on when I removed the old brakes. Where do these smaller retainers go I can't find any video on it ?

How are you liking this Paxton setup? Anything you wish you’d done differently? This kit is a serious consideration, I just can’t decide if I want gradual centri power or the PD hit.
@nfg_coyote46153 жыл бұрын
I like it. Had issues but now they’re taken care of. With the Paxton you’re “limited” to the 3.33 pulley. You can go smaller but you’re severely over spinning the blower. If you wanna make big boy power, go turbo or big whipple. If you want a very quick daily-able car I’d go Paxton. I kind of pride myself knowing i can drive an hour to the drag strip, run 9s all day, and drive home with a full interior
@PayForYourGas3 жыл бұрын
@@nfg_coyote4615 Thanks for the response. Yeah I'd stick with the 3.6 until I could afford a fuel system and then POSSIBLY drop to a 3.48, but it seems like even the 3.6 makes good enough sauce on E85. What kind of issues were you having?
