My Discogs comments. Tracks apart from Assassin seem to be fairly similar to the first and (mostly) second album with extensive overlay of just some pretty fun full on space out noises. The tracks from the second album it's a slightly complicated picture as described below. Assassin actually is potentially a fairly different version worth a listen on it's own. It's definitely Brixton Academy as opposed to the Electric Brixton. (The Electric was a club called The Fridge at the time and had a face-lift in 2011.) Close Encounters seems little different to the UFOrb version but Towers Of Dub is - if a little worse for it - almost melodically an upside down version. So it's slightly different but again not that much of interest in my view. So it's Assassin to really look out for here if you were asking me which you weren't so 🖕. Then again you might say it's just a bit of didge overlayed over the top so again maybe nothing special. Close encounters at the end proves to be a storm.

I was there! We got kicked out for doing blowbacks with a joint. They thought it was coke. We managed to blag our way back in thank god. Everyone in the whole place was smoking, it was mad. A huge fog of weed smoke. Absolutely amazing live. Will never forget it.

I remember going to see the orb in Manchester in the early 90s and the venue was full. I remember a wide eyed bucket hatted youth coming up to me and saying in amazement "can you believe how many people love the orb" i remember hugging him and looking him in the eye and saying "YES"

Makes me wonder what happened at the end-why the set was cut short? Would love to hear from someone who was there. I hear this Coachella had a ton of problems in general.

I'm loving this, wow Plateau sounds amazing 🙂I wonder if Thrash was part of these live gigs as i know he got pissed off with live/touring stuff and i think he was still around in 93 recording wise. Does anyone know?

Here, just outside of Philadelphia, it’s so cool to hear this bit of radio from across the Atlantic… I can only hope Americas taste in music grows up overall once again. It’s just been increasingly dismal. Bland. Corporate. Calculated. Soulless. The Orb is a perfect example of using advancing technology in a creative way.

I love it when I stumble upon something rare like this! The Orb is terribly underrated in America. Then end now.
