November is fine less chances of snow and rain but make sure it does not rain when you travel! Avoid travelling during rainy day. Travel at the timing of local rented vehicles or bus ! They clear the track for you even if it snows! And

From Aalo to menchuka it takes 5/6 hours One whole day will be enuf only if you have specific places to visit in mind Otherwise will take atleast two days to visit whole menchuka (border area is little far)

Hi July, Need advice.I would like to visit in April and have a few queries.I am originally from shillong but live in Australia.I will manage ILP. 1.How much walking is involved between different lakes.Total kms of walking 2.Does it rain heavily in April? 3.I see locals carrying guns.Is that for tigers?Is wild animals an issue?
