Needs a Bluetooth switch, so you can remotely hit the record button while still engaged in a firefight. Otherwise, if your encounter lasts more than 16 seconds, you will either miss part of it or you have to disengage for a second or 2 to hit the switch on the camera every 16 seconds.

I love my prowl. I'm not in a war so there's no need for any analogue nv. I use it for night wanderin, airsoft an just for fun. It's a weathersealed headmounted device, that comes with inbuild iluminators with a wavelenght of 850/940nm. you can decide if you want to use only one of them, both or none. The video quality is fine enough to me, so is it HD? depending on how much of the iluminators you use but I'd say yes, as a none technical sided person. I'd highly recommend two things: 1. if you have never tried nv, give it a try and don't give af about guys, telling you that you need a device for thousands of euros/dollars to call it night vision. 2. you can run it on the delivered headstrap only but it's getting way more comfortable, when using a helmet with a counterweight. nobody on the internet can tell you what you need. go out and find it out by yourself. maybe you're as lucky with the prowl as I am.
