The cycle gives error 7, it starts well and after a while the speed is already up. I changed the battery and the motor and the error continues, could it be a controller defect?

E07 is motor fault code. Turn bike off. Disconnect the motor cable from controller there is a connector on frame between the wheel and pedal. Disconnect and check pins and reconnect

Sadly not a good bike to pedal if ur batteries die the weight combined with the wide seat that rubs ur legs not good but with batteries charged ok bike definitely buy a spare battery

Both are great bikes but make sure to compare ridstar q20 with 20ah (don’t bother with 15ah version)

So with replacing the mount to the one that will come with the 20AH battery you linked does that mean the original battery no longer fits? If that's the case then sourcing another battery seems to be my best option. Sorry, I don't own the bike but am thinking about buying. Great vids btw, def. taking notes of all your mods so far.

most likely the stock battery will not mount, but it might. the batteries are not standardized with is frustrating

Does anyone know about "P8" - my display shows only "P8" and seems to be asking me for a 4-digit PIN code. I'm trapped on this screen and my ENGWE display is not activating the bike at all. I think I may have accidentally activated a PIN lock screen on my first ever ride on it because I was 10 miles from my house and couldn't remember how to switch the front and rear lights on. So I started pressing all kinds of + / - key combinations and + & - simultaneously - that displayed a flashing choice of P1 to P8 options. At P8 there was a no / yes question so out of curiosity I pressed "Y" for yes. After that the display refuses to let me move beyond this damned locked P8 screen that seems to want me to enter a 4-digit number. There's nothing about these P1-P8 screen displays in the user manual and nothing about PIN codes and what seems like a screen lock. So - has anyone had this P8 problem? Do all ENGWE ebikes have a unique PIN code ? Can I factory reset it to get rid of this screen lock that I've accidentally activated? Paul G

PS. Why do you suggest "1234" and "1111" - have others successfully tried those 4-digits with this specific ENGWE PIN lock problem?? As for contacting customer support - of course I sent ENGWE a full description(last night, Sunday) and a broader complaint about the non-existence of an ENGWE P1 Display user manual(ie. pdf file) - and they've promised to get back to me...
