Is there a version that has buttons I can press to turn it on or off or change speed? Because I want that.
@TheSoundOrganisation11 ай бұрын
The buttons are on the front of the power supply and allow easy access to do exactly that (same with a Planar 10 FYI) kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6SrlHWsh95lircsi=fTvCh5_dUOGjNlGR&t=25

Great video, really beautiful turntable. If I plug this turntable into my powered speakers using a 3.5mm jack will it have less sound quality than plugging it into the rca input?
@timothyfreeseha40563 жыл бұрын
I bought a Rega 3 almost six years ago, not really knowing what to expect. All this time later I'm happy to say that I listen to my records daily, and that this turntable has far exceeded my expectations & given me hours & hours of hugely enjoyable playback! Thank you!

Can't believe people accept a manual belt change for 45! It a joke. With more audiophile LP records at 45 this is inconvenient IMO.
@TheSoundOrganisation3 жыл бұрын
Well, in that case you can keep it at 45, and only switch the belt for the occasionally 33. When it comes down to it, manual belt drive is a simpler circuit, leading to less points where interference can be entered into the system. Any circuit can add EM noise, and manual changes prevent that. Additionally, drives that are switchable can often get speed inconsistencies, and wear more on the belt. For many, the sound quality (and price savings) justify the additional 3 seconds it takes to adjust the belt. But, if that's not your speed, the Planar 3, 6, 8, and 10 all have a speed change setting through their power supplies.

i'm really new to record players but looking at getting this one! this is probably a stupid question but would i need speakers as well or does this model produce the sound itself?
@bryceallan5233 жыл бұрын
Hiya James - yes you would need an Amplifier, or some "active" speakers to make sound - Feel free to look at local specialists to get the perfect products for your home (soundorg.com/rega/ )

I think it is great that your organization is doing this. I look forward to seeing and hearing from your "well regarded" retailers, who's doing it right. I am still shocked more retailers representing those fine brands are not doing this themselves, especially on the west coast. Subscribed for more.

I have a new Rega Planar One. The phono output contains male cords. My Sonos Play 5 takes a 3.5mm connection. I will have to connect a RCA two female with a 3.5mm to connect. Is this okay? Thanks

Should i get the P1 plus or P2 (and a pre amp of what kind) help <3
@bryceallan57433 жыл бұрын
My suggestion is to genuinely try them both and decide which is perfect for you. Yes our planar two will be a bit more of an investment but then again I assume you don't make these purchases every day - addressing the question pertaining to follow stages you need a moving magnet stage, Rega do a few choices a Fono Mini A2d,The most likely candidate but then again you can always improve upon it for a Fono MM at a later stage

hi did you encounter any hum from this turntable i have it and get a bad hum. the tt as no external earth to connect. appreciate your advice
@jellytavern59204 жыл бұрын
did you mange to fix your hum that doesn't sound good?
@williamwashington12193 жыл бұрын
I encounted a motor rotating sound. I was told it's the oil distribution from shipping. Run the turntable for two or three days and this should work itself out.
@MaximumJoy3 жыл бұрын
I have a hum too, but only when connected to speakers. Works fine into a mixer or headphones. That said, I don't think it's the speakers as if I touch the P1+ tonearm it gets even louder. Any ideas?

Can you use a better cartridge and if so what’s recommended?
@GuyWithTheGodzillaTattoo4 жыл бұрын
This video just helped me out massively. I'm extremely new to this, and thought I had to manually balance my tonearm on the Rega P1+. As you can probably imagine, there was a slight face-palm moment when I saw how easy it actually is. So yeah, thanks for video!
