Do you personally use the entire bottle of the chemical that you mix in? I saw someone say that if you don’t want the hair to straighten you should only use half of the bottle of developer ?

I've been texturizing for over 5 years now and has anyone experienced breakage by waiting too long in between texturize. I try only to apply softener once or twice a year. This year I had back to back sew ins and I lost a lot of my hair's volume and see more breakage.

I have been using this for years because my curly hair is so tight. I love it.

How long should you carry it before washing it out
@LifewithQuanda3 ай бұрын
I usually leave it a few minutes. It depends on a few factors such as how tight your curls are before and what you want to Achieve as an end result.

So you can use it unless you have virgin hair?🤦♀️ my hairs healthy but it’s been bleached and dyed should I use it still ?
@LifewithQuanda3 ай бұрын
It depends on how long ago your hair was colored and if you used bleach but you can definitely have both as long as you wait a good amount of time between dying your hair and texturizing. It’s usually around 3-4 weeks or longer after color
@breejanee66084 ай бұрын
If I just took out a sew in should I wait to apply it ? Or apply to dirty hair?
@LifewithQuanda3 ай бұрын
Definitely wash your hair and wait a week or so to apply. It won’t take well if you apply to dirty hair.

I’m scared cause I’ve dyed my hair twice but it was just box dye no harsh bleach my hair looks and feels fine but I have a small patch of heat damage so idk someone plz help me
@LifewithQuanda3 ай бұрын
As long as it’s been a few weeks since color your hair it should be fine but if you do definitively stay on top of deep conditioning and hydrating your hair. If it’s get dry that’s when the breakage starts

I know this is an older video & im late to the game but hopefully you'll respond lol I saw your comment to someone saying you didn't do the ends because you relaxed in the past, how long ago is the past? Lol I've been natural for 15 yrs, i keep seeing folks only do their roots but I'd hate to have 2 different textures so i think maybe im considered virgin hair right? Lol
@LifewithQuanda3 ай бұрын
Hey! Within a year. It usually takes a while for it to full grow out. If you’ve been natural 15 year then it would definitely be like a first time for you. Some people also probably only add it to their roots if their roots are more tightly curled. For example someone might have tight curly roots but their ends are waves so essentially adding just to the roots would make the textures match more. Hope this helps!

Someone at the hair store told me to leave it in 20 minutes! I just started searching so many different sources on opinions about how long. glad I found your video.
@LifewithQuanda6 ай бұрын
Oh no 20 minutes is way too long. Definitely don’t listen to who ever stated that. The would be over processed or even worse you could experience breakage

Can some one tell me does this work best on a person that is completely natural initially ? I haven’t relaxed in months maybe almost 6 months I’m wondering will my hair look crazy I’m scared to do it

Alright so I plan on getting a texturizer tomorrow . My hair type right now is pretty much 4c but when it’s wet it looks like 3C…. What texture of my hair will it be after this texturizer. (4b , 4a, 3C, 3b , etc

@@kookiesenglish2405 tbh… it’s about 2c ! I love it so much and am so happy with my results. It still curls and it’s much easier to work with! Hair wash routine cut in half and my hair is waist length . If your thinking about it , This is your sign !!

@@kookiesenglish2405 your very welcome !!! Also a few tips, If you plan on dying your hair, try to wait atleast 3 weeks after your texturizer. If you recently dyed it, don’t texturize it for about a month don’t drink sprite before texturizing lol.

Idk my hair type but I’m half hispanic so I do this once a year typically every June so my curly hair can be flat ironed. I don’t leave it on longer than 5 mins

@ImaniEstrella7 ай бұрын
You just convinced me to do this. I have 4A curly hair and it gets real nappy at the roots. I have good curls, but it’s too much frizz and I can never do a wash and go bc of this. Im so tired of weaves and straightening my hair, so I might do this for the summer!

Will it be harder to grow out your hair when you decide to go natural after the texturizer? I’m currently getting it tomorrow but now idk I have to do more research cuz my mom did it and it’s fine but our hair r different so I don’t wanna jump into conclusions

Does using a texturizer make it easier to grow your hair?
@fayedenisejohnson17528 ай бұрын
Your hair turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL 🤗 So, in your video you showed that your roots and edges are covered with texterizer on it, then it switched to you AFTER rinsing it out, BUT did you add texterizer to your remaining (all the way to the ends) hair? It doesn't show you doing it on camera, so I'm just wondering. 😏

I would wake a week or so and use a semi-permanent hair color. The Pattern hair styling cream is great for smoothing your hair. I use Soft and Beautiful, no lye texture softener.
