Just want to say to all “You concert goers” such as I, a total live show person 🤟 …..No offense,.. but I want to hear the band when it comes to songs like, hell sound of silence, and their original low key songs….. unless they ask you to “join” in shut the f~up so we may enjoy the crisp message that is,.. fist in the Air for all their other songs they are meant to be sung LOUD BY US!! wish he did it earlier in the concert, before his voice gets so tired, he is clearly straining to stay on key, which is a shame cause his voice can be so amazing.

I'm 60..and when I saw this on Conan..I wept..this is how I think it's supposed to be sang......and the people bowed and prayed to the neon God they made....with such force...people praying to false God's...he knows exactly what he's doing here...

I am 69 years old and this rendition gives me goosebumps!! I'm familiar with the original, but the voice of this man is outstanding! I love that a new generation is enjoying those beautiful lyrics delivered is such a masterful way!!

The original version is more like a lullaby….lullabies were very popular in the 1960s….but no so much anymore. It’s like Dolly Parton’s version of “I will always love you”….she sings it like a lullaby than Whitney’s love song pop version. It’s whatever turns you on.

I don’t know about his vocals being unmatched, however, it’s his cover done his way and nobody can ever take that away from him. I like both versions. I can appreciate what the original artist intended to convey and I have the same appreciation what the cover conveys.

Depends on how many songs he'd sung previously maybe(?). Still sounded great! And he's older so maybe controlling those low notes takes a toll on the vocal cords after a while because I'm sure he performs it quite often by demand. I'm not into heavy metal but would go to a concert just to hear him sing this song in any key!
