How did you attach the suspension and manage to get the inner fender off? I was going to do this on a new body, but it appeared as if the lift kit I put in it a long time ago, attaches the shock straight to the fender. Did you cut it or?

I added width. Now i'm working on adding a touch of weight. It's expensive and I'd rather not spend the money. I was thinking brass up front and aluminum in the rear.

It is, he's literally stripped everything off it, including the floor and the fenders making look like a diff truck. but its a trx4.

Great video and new sub. I’m new to 1/18 crawlers and these adjustments are super pronounced. Torque twist management especially

Your entire method in the rear is completely opposite of how anti squat works. Using a 1:1 drag car with a 4 link rear end as an example, raising the rear of the upper links and/or lowering the front of the upper rear links creates anti squat and will actually lift the rear under acceleration. This is what drives the front axle down. Our crawlers are no different.

You’re right. I’m surprised it took 3 years for someone to comment who knew better. I learned about anti squat from watching videos on 1:1 vehicle geometry which inspired me to design and sell rear link risers for the scx24 and CR18P that mount to the rear axle. I’m going to try one on my trx4, but I’m skeptical that petg is durable enough.

Put also a black one on my Bronco chassis. A little bit of trimming on the inner fender, put the original bumpers and the side sliders on and crawls the same like the Bronco. Why not? The same chassis and the body is lexan, no heavy hard body. The body is just a shell...

Hi there, awesome videos, not just this one! I wish you did not stop recording! Anyways, speaking of lightweight wheels - anyone got a suggestion for 3D printed 2.2 beadlocks? Thanks!

Printing out some of these as we speak - I take my Capra in water occasionally and squeezing out foams is a big ol' pain in the butt. I like that I don't have to worry much about water damage and I can just drain them.

Id love to pick up Benz body and throw it on a TRX4 Sport chassis. May even take off the portals and make it an ultra scale overland vehicle.

I like my chassis a little higher for clearance, then use 1/4 oz adhesive wheel weight around the inside of my rims. So I have decent clearance heavier wheels, and battery pack low over the front axle

I find it not how far the front unloads but how much the rear loads n squats that reduces your climbing angle. Doing the spring mod in only the rear may work better with the front normal but a low preset. Any amount of overdrive helps also.
