The last we knew her sister and mother were going from job to job. There is a whole middle of the story missing. Would have been nice to hear that part.

Time kept slipping away and some of the events did too. Must've been hard to put so much in a short story that some got left out.

It never says anything about the demand for money for sisters wedding. Give us a complete story.

This story is too confusing. Her father is suddenly her grandfather, her niece suddenly became her granddaughter, there was no mention of Elenor ever having a child. Up to that point it was an interesting story.
