i've played the entire half life series now, and i have to say, the escape from city 17 is my favorite part of the series. the sound of the transmission going out, the giant portal forming over the citadel, it's all so well done.

I just want to point out there is a hole in the combine wall that could have been closed to prevent the train from escaping.

As much as this expansion wasn't as good, I still would love to know more about the Nightcrawlers. The end did made me get goosebumps. Despite the hundreds of Nightcrawler mercenaries you kill, including their commander, how many of them really are there? The Elite says; "Acceptable." it has to mean there's more nightcrawlers than it's shown in the game.

Speed plus strength plus stamina build

Game Graphics 8/10...combat 7/10... story 9/10....levels and locations 10/10 but the Parkour 5/10 ... overall the game is just ok and playable I would give this game 7/10 even tho i wanna rate it lower since i almost tosed my pc to the ground...did enjoy it in a way 😂

Personally.. I really enjoyed this DLC.. was it hard.. yes.. It made me lower the difficulty to casual because Normal was so hard... and I was tired of dying... I like the idea of this boss fight and I thought it was really good. It was also really scary and the set design was way more of a mood.

For people that were saying the ending was bad, haven’t played the two dlcs for this game (Beneath the Ashes and Lara’s Shadow) unfortunately the dlcs were only available on Xbox and never got released on PlayStation or PC. The dlcs really help wrap up the story for the trilogy imo

What I’m seeing and what the comments are saying Tim is a douche and an evil selfish person wanting to use the princess for the manhattan project to make a bomb to destroy the world. Thus is why the princess was running away from Tim because she knew of his plans and if he did catch her she would be literally dead being the atom bomb he wanted to watch the world burn. That is why she the princess runs away from Tim and is rescued from the knight who represents scientists who want nothing with Tim’s plans for some kind of sick sadistic plan for possibly world domination and destruction and death of the world. Annihilation of the world through Tim’s sheer nihilism and hatred of the world and humanity and all possible living things.
