Does it have a gear indicator as well? Besides just neutral
@kylejonesUB2 ай бұрын
Yes, there's a mode that will show you your gear. It is based on rpm and while I very rarely use it, it's been accurate.

How did you create custom NSR trees in xlights? Did you import the model or created it by yourself?
@kylejonesUB10 ай бұрын
Those are EFLDesigns.com Medium NSR's, and he provides the model with purchase. All submodels are from him too.

How would I be able to tell of my power valve isn’t opening?
@kylejonesUB Жыл бұрын
With the motor put together, on the left side of the cylinder is an inspection cover. Remove it, start the bike and revnit up. The sector gear will move and you'll see it through that window.

Did it mount into the stock mount with no problem? Are there threaded holes on the back of the speedo? Thanks
@kylejonesUB2 жыл бұрын
It mounted perfectly. There's 2 maybe #6 machine screws that hold it in, just like stock.

hello, thanks for the vid. Does this have a gear indicator?
@kylejonesUB3 жыл бұрын
The manual says yes, it has a self learning gear indicator. I haven't turned it to learning mode yet because I only remember while I'm riding.

Some what helpful but could of been abit better explained. I'm currently scratching my head with installing one of these. What did you do with the purple (security indicator) wire and the blue (cruise control) wire? Also the purple wire that came out the original speedo? I don't know if I have to connect these to anything or leave them as a dead end. Might seem like a dumb question but I just like to be sure as shit before I start and the instructions that come with it makes me rather assemble flat pack, especially when the wires in the manual are a different colour

But still a handy video

Hi Jack, my 02 didn't use the security wire. I only used the white wire from the indicator harness, so the other three (purple, blue, white/ blue) were cut about 8" long and protected with heat-shrink before being run into the riser where those Deutsch connectors are located. What year is your bike?
@kylejonesUB3 жыл бұрын
Original purple from speedo...no purple from my stock speedo. Just [white, white] (both to trip switch), [black, white, red] to triangle Deutsch under seat, white/green to TSM, orange/white keyed power, black - ground to the harness.
@jackgallowtree3 жыл бұрын
My bike is an 02 hugger. I've noticed before this purple wire has replaced others. From what I'm guessing is that it should be the blk/ylw one on the diagram in the haynes manual, which is check engine but on the otherside of the plug it's black which makes me wonder if it's the ground. It's port 11 on mine. With the others I just wanted to clarify whether to leave them or if there is anywhere to connect.
@jackgallowtree3 жыл бұрын
I'm confused with that purple as my original speedo earth connected to the earth's of the idiot lights

Did you get to the bottom of it fella?
@kylejonesUB4 жыл бұрын
Nah, just ran it all season with no issue. I think it's fine as is- the balls inside and the ramps themselves were not worn at all, no evidence of slack or abuse.

@@GolfBros2020 I guess ultimately my PV didn't work right because the 'sector gear' under the exhaust flange was somehow too tight of a radius and was jamming on the PV flap and port gears. The actuator shown here worked fine and I could move the PV by hand but it was too stiff for the engine to do itself. A new sector gear (and the rollers while I was at it) and it works 100%!

@@kylejonesUB Im glad it all worked out well for you mate. I had a play around today and likewise managed to get it working. I'm just editing the video guide as, like you, I couldn't find no content to help except the power valve set up. Cheers man

@@aaronmarzec2018 took the tank off and the coil was loose. Tightened it and it ran much better, but then a couple races later just quit. After it cooled for a few minutes its start and run, quit, cool, run, etc. Fuel was good, spark weak. A lightly used 2k3 (and 03 125SX CDI...) fixed it. Could've been CDI or stator, didn't have time to test properly. Coil read okay with a voltmeter.

Nice.On the wooden tree stand if you screwed one on top the other making a star.Then the top piece of wood screw a shorter piece underneath each end to make it stable. This way you get more depth of a hole to stabilise the tree.
