I streamed the sequel for one of my besties and my BF. It turned out bestie hadn't seen the original! But afterward she mentioned that she could follow both movies just fine. Watching them in that order revealed that you can, in fact, watch them out of order; they foreshadow each other and their worldbuilding and character-building compliment each other. That's ingenious to the point it made me wonder if it was intentional.

I know Burn Gornman, the priest, originally as the exceptionally horny Owen Harper from Torchwood. It’s very funny seeing him doing this sort of character because I can’t help but see the I-can’t-believe-this spirit Owen had in that show, with the added juxtaposition of being a priest 😂

1988 Beetlejuice was my childhood. This sequel, and this scene, were absolute shit. Doesn't even come close to touching the Harry Belafante dinner dance scene from the first movie.

SAG actors should be thankful I find this scene amusing. I know they are poking fun of me, a part Hungarian squirrel looking childless man ( no nephews, no nieces ) whose childhood friend is a descendant of Sean Connery's character Jack Keough in The Molly Maguires, Richard Harris was a Pinkerton detective in the movie pretended to be a coal miner. Jack Keough was hung for murder and terrorism in Pottsville.
