I grew up in Bakewell, it was just Hughes Mnt. Rd. then. I was wondering how far is it from where you started to the Rock Creek Bridge? I definitely want to do that.

Just come across you this morning and this is the second video I've watched and I've really enjoyed them. I'm trying to do a little hiking and my last 4 videos on my channel are of places I've been. I seen you have one of Big Soddy Gulf which is one of the places I've been and I will check it out. Subscribed and thumbed up. Hopefully we will cross paths someday.

Awesome Tennessee Beauty! We hiked across the top of Upper Piney and slid down the steep cable trail on the other side. Lol We found a good tree across the creek downstream a little to cross back to the trail you came in on. It only added to the gorgeous adventure! I really have to get finished editing that one 😁

First time I wore a kilt in public I was a bit shy. I was on my way somewhere and walking down the street, and got folks calling out to me. It was good natured. I swear men are either jealous (cause I was told it took ultra confidence to wear it) or uncomfortable and want to know if I'm not wearing underwear. Women love it. The more I wore it the more I stopped thinking about it. I also came up with the line if someone asks about underwear "You watch too many movies." I just wore it for my first race and will be wearing it from now at all the marathons I do, including an ultra. If anyone asks my family has a tartan (of Fife) and is the Beveridge clan going back to as early as 1303 in Scotland. Also have Irish blood.

Toby, I know the kilt is typically warm in snow (my personal experience) but, I have to say... that creek area definitely looks like it was very cold that day. That icy water gives a guy the "chills"
