He never wanted Slayer to stop, that was Araya's decision, which Araya had every right to make by the way. Slayer belongs to King just as much as any of the members. Besides, he plays his own Kerry King songs and plays Slayer songs to fill the set and because fans want to hear them. So, not a sellout in any way shape or form. Just a guy who loves what he does and wants to continue doing it.

Yes sounds rough. Rick doesn't do anything physical anymore either stands or gingerly walks like an old man. Look for a recent video where he does 1 kick. They keep adding family members cause they are turning into Spinal Tap. Bun E. was their kick in the ass. So great at one time. I saw play bowling alleys when they were nobody. Now to turn into this is sad. FAREWELL TOUR

Awesome band. But miss some of the awesome tracks on their later setlist like ,, «It lives», «Thanx for nothing», «Blood Money», Necroshine» «Evil never dies», and deep cuts like , «I Rise», «Dreaming in Columbia», (not sure if they have ever played any of these two tracks live?.. anyway, I loved this band since 1989. 🤘🔥❤

Bruce will be back. He had back surgery honestly as long as they’re playing the music good and true to the form, which they really are, who cares. Dave and Bryan have been with them longer than the originals at this point.

This is not REO. Not one original member. Only one member left from the classic REO lineup. Kevin Cronin should be touring as a solo artist at this point performing REO hits.

Every band goes through changes. Until last year, the REO lineup has been the same since 1990 with Cronin, Dave Amato on guitar, Brian Hitt on drums, Neal Doughty on keyboards (retired from touring last year) and Bruce Hall on bass (currently recovering from back surgery, expected back full time this summer). The classic lineup has had deaths to Gary Richrath in 2015, Greg Philbin died in 2022 but was replaced by Hall in 1977. Drummer Alan Gratzer left the band in 1988 with Hitt joining in 1990.

I understand all that, but the only one left from the classic lineup is Kevin Cronin. The rest of them were not on any of the classic albums and since the only songs they perform in concert are off the classic albums I stand by my comment that Kevin should be touring solo with the rest of the musicians backing him up.

@@DavidWG48 Bruce Hall is still from the classic lineup and he’ll be back once he recovers from his surgery. Who really cares? They play the music just the same as the “classic lineup” and have been with the band since 1989. Neal is over 75 years old, he obviously was going to retire at some point. To me, they are more REO than Journey is journey. At least they have their lead singer.

Technically, he isn’t original. And Bruce Hall who’s been with them since 1977, and played on most of their hits will be back soon. As long as the other guys play the music good, which they do, who really cares. The alternative would be not hearing them at all. In my opinion, the most important piece of the band is the singer and they still have him the only person you really can’t replicate.

He’s been taking vocal lessons since Covid. And looking into it, I never really knew the voice is a muscle. You can actually strengthen it and build it back up. I agree he definitely sounds a lot better. He’ll never have the range he once did but he puts his all in.

Albeit in a theatre setting rather than an arena or stadium, REO Speedwagon would have killed for lighting and production like this back-in-the-day. This is an all-hits show and Cronin never fails to show his liberal roots.
